For me encouraging to hear the exchanges believed to be at an end. No casualties and just a strategy strike. Hopefully puts an end to the recent spat. Will look forward to Q1 results May 10th and expecting to hear further good news building on the EOY. GLA

Nice retrace. Inflation news helps and getting Iran off the headlines. Longer it stays that way the better.

Think Bidens stance and anti escalation aim helped. Shows confidence is strong in this though. GLA

I will just add it angers me we weakly follow the agenda set by the States. Yes its a NATO policy thing but if Cuba launched into Washington does anyone really think they wouldn't respond. Beggars belief the hypocrisy and im not on the left. Israel are going way too far and as a non religious person it angers me more how the majority of peace making countries could get dragged into this.

Now that Biden has stated they wont get involved militarily apart from a defence standpoint re Israel it's 50 50 for me how this swings. Agree Phil Netanyahu seems intent on the aggressive line and his political position doesnt help plus his credibility if he fails to do what he set off to do which largely isnt poss anyway. All its doing is stirring up more hatred. When will we ever learn. The futility of war

Whattap..
You say huge might of Israel, USA, UK...

Why do UK fit into the equation, his the USA instructs us too!!

I agree Net, has gone way to far he just wants to flatten Gaza...then move on to west bank.

However, I have side tracked..

Do you really think that Iraq, Siria, will just stand back and watch missiles fly over their air space as such.

Plus you will have nutter Putin, hoping one of his missiles miss fires.

Sure as heck hope you're right but Netanyahooo is far from letting this be the end of things! He's gone way too far as has the whole sad situation...and the markets were slowly improving!

It may not be that bad given Fridays drop and Iran stating that’s the retaliation bit done. As long as Israel doesn’t respond ,huge might of Israel-USA-UK standing against Iran should be the end of this.

Im with Klo. Iran strike uncertainty and the poss fall out. I sense it will happen and naturally concerns re USA reaction etc. Otherwise nothing to stop this still trending north over next two quarters imo.

Could it be market makers trying holders to sell before the good news is out?

Only reason I can think of is dangerous skies around the Middle East, whilst Iran sabre rattles.I don't think it's that, but cannot think what else.

Heathrow and Manchester airport ground (Manchester, East Mids & Stansted) both with very positive pax days this morning. Results can only be the best yet post covid for IAG.
