I sold earlier on and although I considered playing safe and buying Rdsb instead I increased my position in fresnillo - still underwater there, but not as bad as it was.

I believe the vote is today at 4pm GMT. Surprised there's been no rival bid as ETO have a massive library of content ?

As i predicted no other bid.
valu at about 560p i thunk and can see it slide to that

don't think there will be a counter bid as too much already paid having said that,
some clown may bid up to 580 i think and hasbro may think theyve had a lucky escpare

If anyone knows - there was mention about the sterling rate. If the takeover is at $4bn which was £5.60 at the time will that be the price or will it be the sterling equivalent at the time the takeover closes e.g if the pound strengthens will the money we will receive per share increase in line? Alternatively was it the other way round and a fixed sterling price per share was agreed which = $4bn at the time but the that dollar takeover total could fluctuate based on exchange rates?

TIA

Good luck Ken. The thing at the back of my mind is the value of sterling. E-One is listed in £. The pound has been in the gutter, but a revised/tweaked withdrawal agreement would see sterling rise easily 10%. Merkel and Macron have sounded amenable to a little movement and sterling is already on the way back up. Hasbro might not be delighted if currency movement pushes the purchase price up 10%. If they're sensible, they'll complete in a hurry and so will the board. That's the main reason I was worried about losing the premium; it'll just come down to the agreed price.

I'm off to buy something nice now, so good luck on whichever way it goes.

Tricky ! I know I said £6 but is there more ? So I've sold half my holding and will wait & see with the other half.

Mainly, I was worried about the price dropping back, in the absence of anything else, and losing the 10% premium. Greedy pigs get stuffed, so I hear. GLA and well done to holders! What a payday!

Me too. The agreed price plus 10%!! I'm taking the money and running. Looks like a good fit with hasbro (toys, games, films). This has been on the block for ages, ever since ITV tried and failed years back. No point waiting around for a fractionally higher offer and the chance that something could go wrong. And the board has said yes anyway.
