Interesting last few days with RNS news, and short action. Let's start with the short position presently stands -

ActusRay Partners 0.48% 0.02 12 April 2024 Decrease

Total 1.70%

3 April 2024 RNS listed this line " Annual Report which will be available at hxxp://corporate.888.com/ on 18 April 2024".

15 April 2024 Annual report published and viewed on 888 Holdings. The remuneration Report is from page 62 if you want to confirm the 3 April RNS on the CEO/CFO position.

The Group will announce a trading update for the three months ended 31 March 2024 on Friday 19 April 2024 at 7.00 am BST.

The 2023 AGM will be held at 9.00 am BST on Monday 13 May 2024.

On the name change I will be voting no thank you.

certain degree of complaints, gaming commission needs to step up to protect people, that's their job is? if people win big , regardless of 888 needs to pay immediately. But they are currently messing around with customers to hold back the funds

Seems to be getting desperate shame really.

On other news small institution sold a few shares at the end of March 2024.The positions were reduced by 0.021 to 0.032%.That seemed the only movement with general shareholders falling by 1.5% but could not find where that 1.5% was taken up by.

"Jefferies: ‘Buy’ 888 for the growth

There is double-digit growth in the pipeline for gambling group 888 (888) this year, according to Jefferies.

Analyst James Wheatcroft retained his ‘buy’ recommendation and target price of 160p on the Citywire Elite Companies plus-rated stock, which fell 2.2% to 84p on Wednesday. The shares have jumped 43% over the last 12 months.

Wheatcroft has increased earnings estimates by 1% for 2024, reduced by 5% in 2025, and increased by 1% again in 2026.

‘A new management team, credible action plan and clear financial targets should improve confidence,’ he said.

‘Delivery is now the focus, with scope for material equity upside as leverage reduces. After a tough competition in the first quarter of 2024, and guidance implying double-digit growth through the rest of full-year 2024, execution is the focus.’"

Lower than expected inflation would boost the markets, most likely. It would mean the bank of England might lower interest rates which would help those on variable mortgages and those coming up to renewals.

Bloomberg survey suggests 888 Holdings in line for a bid because UK stocks are on the low point with Private Equity looking Apollo are one.Bargain sniper may be correct.

i wasn't thinking much about the one way trading today until i saw the volume today was the highest for a month - the second highest volume was last Wednesday - which makes you suspicous of something happen but "what" I have no idea.
