Good on you, Beeksy. I couldn't agree more. When my kids are older, we'll be going, not least because I haven't been there myself. I have been to Auschwitz, however, and if you're in need of reminding what intolerance leads to then I recommend it. In fact everyone should have to go there.

Hampster - indeed, the Canadians, Australians, New Zealanders, Indian Army and South Africans all contributed to the war effort. Was reading some stuff about the N Zealand Army recently and they were a good fighting outfit.
