13/2/2024 12:20 | Mackie, "Anyone seen any cash yet?" I was paid out by IG in my ISA on 30th Jan, which was a surprise. And today Interactive Investor have credited my vanilla share account. And generally speaking, today is the day that I was expecting cash, as this was the date referred to in the "scheme effective" RNS: JakNife | jaknife
13/2/2024 12:04 | Nope. Brokers will probably use the excuse that payment received as a bulk cheque so will take time to clear and allocate to individual accounts. | laughton
13/2/2024 11:41 | Anyone seen any cash yet? | mackie
03/1/2024 15:55 | Interesting to see they will be suspended from trading on AIM... | cwa1
03/1/2024 14:07 | I'm assuming it's passed - details as posted in my Charles Stanley account are as follows: Subject to the scheme becoming effective on 30 January 2024, the company has announced a recommended cash offer by Cerezzola Limited. This is to be effected via a scheme of arrangement on the following basis: For each ordinary share in the SCS Group shareholders will receive a cash payment of GBP2.70 SCS Group shares will be suspended from trading on AIM with effect from 7:30am on 30 January 2024. They will then subsequently be cancelled from listing on the 31 January. The cash will be issued on or shortly after the 13 February after which point your account will be updated accordingly. | fredfishcake
13/12/2023 09:12 | Agree. I reckon most of them can't vote it down in reality. Voting it down means to share price will fall...and so will the value of their portfolios. At this stage in the cycle I reckon that is not a good look for most funds. Take the money is the mantra. Hedge funds are the only ones with any liklihood of being able to vote it down without its own investors getting edgy. But in fairness they were the ones looking for the quick profit in the first place. They hold about 25% I think. I'd be surprised if this doesn't go through. | thorpematt
11/12/2023 23:36 | I think most will accept it in the absence of any counter bid coming | davidosh
11/12/2023 18:26 | All very quiet on what inst holders feel about the bid. Or maybe I've just missed coverage. | laughton
11/12/2023 18:09 | Received message from HL Shareholders vote on takeover is Dec 21st | niklol
08/12/2023 07:22 | Morgan Stanley increases stake: | aishah
16/11/2023 16:28 | The delay may be because a competing potential bidder has emerged....who knows? | davidosh
16/11/2023 16:18 | And yet a few buys going through today @ 262P - why? | laughton
16/11/2023 14:55 | It was also announced on 24 October 2023 that it was expected that a scheme document, containing further information about the Acquisition and notices of a court meeting and general meeting ("Meetings"), together with the associated forms of proxy ("Scheme Document"), would be posted to ScS shareholders as soon as practicable and in any event within 28 days of 24 October 2023 . Due to a lack of availability of the court, it has not been possible to schedule a court hearing meeting in sufficient time in order to post the Scheme Document to ScS shareholders within 28 days of 24 October 2023. Accordingly, the directors of ScS have therefore sought an extension to the deadline for posting the Scheme Document from the Panel. The Panel has granted such an extension to 17:00 on 29 November 2023. | davidosh

09/11/2023 19:05 | Cinch taking 5% in VTU. Recent consolidation in that sector leaves VTU as last man standing and as per my previous comment a highly possible bid target. | thorpematt
03/11/2023 16:21 | Hedgehog 100, A bit too small for me that one. Got anything a bit larger? I like CTO at this juncture.Tailwinds on energy transtion, smart buildings, fosil fuel phase out and data centres. Key barriers to entry being un-rivalled expertise and scale. Very cheap even for a contractor. Positive recent statements...too cheap. | thorpematt
03/11/2023 10:48 | Well done to SCS shareholders on being taken over at a 66% premium. Those looking for a quick potential repeat may care to look at Parity (PTY): market cap. £2.11M. at 2.05p, 2022 revenue £40.6M. PTY's net debt as at 30.6.23 was only £0.7M., and the company was close to EBITDA break-even. PTY may well currently be considering takeover overtures. | hedgehog 100
31/10/2023 17:34 | patsyluck, Yep AIM looks cheap right now by historic standards...may get cheaper yet. SFR of course is main list. I sure would not want to have held ot for the last 20years. I think there are indusstry, company and geopolital reasons why things look bright going forward. We can also look at the underperformance of value versus growth since 2008 being an issue for it and others. There have been some good coverage in FT and Saxo market podcast of late on that last point (but basically it is down to the cost of capital andhow growth stocks appeal in loe CoC environmnet. But in any event, the 2 year outlook and current price are as far as I would look for SFR for now. Perhaps UPGS might appeal (ticker is changing to ULTP) | thorpematt
