LONDON (AFX) - Sellers were about in Parkdean Holidays, 22 pence adrift at
210, after the UK holiday park operator warned it expects results for the year
to end October 2005 to be below current market forecasts.
The profit warning came in a trading update following the key 2005 summer
holiday season.
Challenging market conditions continued throughout the peak season resulting
in below normal occupancy in the main school holidays. In addition, holidays for
late September and October, mainly consisting of short breaks, are booking
marginally slower than last year, it said.
As at Sept 5, like-for-like holiday hire sales are down 2.3 pct on last
year.
