If they are retaining the debentures (c.£10m) - then it would be interesting to know what interest they will be receiving and when these are repayable

I think continuous updates means twice a year if you're lucky, they don't spread the info much, only when they have to.

I haven’t looked at the balance sheet recently, but I assume the solar assets sale results in a reduction in either investments held for sale, or non-current assets, plus a reduction in debt held within the solar businesses.

Strategy to date has been deleveraging. Continuous updates sounds as if they have something else in mind, such as asset acquisitions. There’s no need for continuous updates on just deleveraging.

Good to see the buying price increase steadily this morning from 10.8p to almost the full 11p offer after this morning's solar disposal news.

The closing comment sounds encouraging:

"Our business remains robust and we look forward to provide continuous updates on progressing our strategy within the Indian energy sector."

India’s electricity consumption grew by 8.0% in February - a fairly average rate for the FY as a whole. So no shortage of demand.

I guess OPG still sources most of its coal from Indonesia. Publicly available data suggest the relevant grade of Indonesian coal has been trading at around $58 per tonne for a while, although general commentary is that Indonesian coal is plentiful and its prices have been falling.

The price of coal has fallen nicely recently after a bounce in early March:



At the start of 2023 the coal price was almost $360/T, and a year ago it was $178 - now it's down to $130.

Which surely has to be terrific for OPG's margins?

Crazy these markets though.

Companies one by one needing to raise are doing fundraises at very low prices and yet any company that makes money and generates cash is also being shunned.

This should be flying but people are selling through boredom...mental

There’s no guarantee of an update before the end of the FY, although that’s not too long now.

Yeah but the mm's have no reason to move up because just when it finally looks promising people come along and go hey I'll help you out mr mm and give you stock.

Just wish the company would issue the update out in India.

Well it's 11.025-11.375p

So yes the offer is well up but the bid is still close to 11p but there still to be any support by pi's at 11.3p or higher yet. Yes auction buys always seem to be high up there.

Cenkos open 11p bid from 10.8p bid

Online is brilliant spread 11.055-11.1p still buys going through the sale column
and still uncrossing each close at high offer so it always looks down in the morning when infact the price is up

Cenkos on bid for a while now they obviously are too aware of the numbers.

Still painfully hard work atm, I mean it should be 20-30p range and still struggling to break 11p
