Ray tipjunkie 24 Feb'16 - 11:24 - 41251 of 41252 0 0 edit its not valid though is it? It's EXPIRED tipjunkie 24 Feb'16 - 11:27 - 41252 of 41252 0 0 edit what is 'continued authorisation'? 24/2/2016 11:02 | gbb483 24 Feb'16 - 10:53 - 41245 of 41246 1 0 You should also ask your card provider why they accepted the payment request. The fault is with them, not ADVFN (the 3 digit security code will change when a new card is issued and the request should be bounced on that condition). tipjunkie 24 Feb'16 - 10:59 - 41246 of 41246 1 0 edit Exactly and I will be pursuing this. However ADVFN should not knowingly try to collect from expired cards. | tipjunkie
24/2/2016 10:57 | I don't want to thank you as I dont trust a company that knowingly takes money from expired cards. I have not taken up your 'offer' to update my details for over three months. Does that tell you anything? I will speak to my bank and put a stop to this. | tipjunkie
24/2/2016 10:52 | why are you collecting subscriptions from a card that you KNOW to be expired? | tipjunkie
24/2/2016 10:52 | ray_d (ADVFN) 24 Feb'16 - 10:24 - 41244 of 41244 0 0 tipjunkie, It use to be the case that some card providers would allow a payment to continue if the expiry date had passed, as long as the card number remained the same. Some card issues have changed this though so that both the expiry and the card number must be valid, which is why the prompt appears to update card details. Not all providers require this though, as is the case with your card provider; so payments can still successfully go through for you. If you need to update the card details or change the subscription, please call us on 0207 0700 961 and we can get that done for you. Ray | golly blackwell
