Seanyboy - I'd never give advice(!) but I bought Softcat at the start of February.

I'm not concerned about exec/director sales of shares unless backed up by other more dubious factors, and I can't find any.

It just seems to be a slightly unexciting but profitable company with a pretty good outlook, so is what I was looking for as a longer term investment. Dividend yield is also forecast to rise.

In my previous job in IT, I also dealt with them on a business level and I was quite impressed. That was a few years ago, but they still seem to be doing OK...

Thinking of investing in Softcat - fundamentals seem sound but what was the deal with CEO sale of shares some time ago? Was that a concern for any of you? Any advice appreciated but ofcourse I will do my own research - TIA

Negotiated trades, dealt en mass after the bell on Friday, before the Interims due 28th March, with a spike in the share price, very high daily volume, and following a new CFO appointment, all look very interesting.

Now it's the turn of Credit Suisse spreading toxicity into the markets. Could be another big bank going down. Market nervousness and volatility are now the norm.

shareholder 7 - Liberum don't share your view about costs, but who takes notice of brokers? They seem to be suggesting that hardware updates will slow down, which may be an understandable viewpoint, but realistic?

Dave, nice day for COA atm - on around 10.5 X this FY, dropping to 7 X on FY '23 (if the deliver).
May drift back towards 55 pence if markets sell off again.

Apologies for off topic.
