26/2/2002 09:46 | wholden:Please read my post No6,this is done for tax reasons only. The only people that are interested in buying these shares are the company themselves, they will never go up in value and when you take the spread into account they are not worth buying. They are issued instead of a dividend,if you`re still interested - buy Anglian Water shares instead. | alared
26/2/2002 01:29 | alared: wat is the reason for your emphatic "NO"???? | wholden

17/2/2002 10:55 | These are redeemable shares issued by anglian water to shareholders (for tax reasons)instead of a dividend.AWG then buys them back,if shareholders want to sell. It`s all done so AWG can claim back tax.The current dividend is 13.42p per share,so they issue 1342 redeemable shares at 0.001p instead. The 43m trade is probably the company buying back it`s own redeemable shares. | alared
