Have to say I have done very well out of Avesco twice. Once when they first launched Who wants to be a millionaire. Always thought we never got anything back from America. Went back in got the American payment kept thinking this is only going to get better.Took the £6.35 and invested in REIT's and Taylor Wimpey which has proved so far to be a good investment. However I could not have done this without the absolutly superb management of Avesco. Many many thanks.

I can confirm that Avesco monies have been credited and are now on my accounts at TD Direct..

Thank you once again Mr. Murray - and team- for delivering such a truly magnificent shareholder return. A great achievement by all at Avesco.

May you prosper, live long and enjoy the fruits of your success.

That will be a nice birthday present for me. I wish I had just kept all the share I had. Unfortunately sold those in the ISA and haven't faired that well with the new ones! Should have just left it here instead.

Benny :

Basically, yes. This is exactly what happened with my holding in Amlin (AML) which was taken over in February this year. The value of the bid is credited to your account (or directly to you if held in certificated form). In fact, exactly as a dividend would be, only for a larger amount ...

The 4th of January has been mentioned in the RNS announcements as the date for crediting accounts/ despatching cheques.

The now somewhat regretful, well-known and colourful investor, Evil Knievil who almost broke his personal record on Avesco:-

I was contacted yesterday by my online brokers about voting for various matters relating to the Recommended Offer for Avesco, namely the:

1. Court Mandated Meeting

2. Ordinary General Meeting.

I have in all cases voted IN FAVOUR/TO ACCEPT various resolutions and proposals relating to the Recommended Offer.

It only took a couple of minutes to do online, just by ticking the relevant voting box and hitting the submit button.

As Avesco have always treated shareholders so well, it seemed to me the right thing to do in order to support the management on their Recommended Offer.

I hope there are other like-minded shareholders.

ALL IMO. DYOR.
