Final distribution of 3p per share received this morning

The 5p/share payment was credited to my Barclays nominee a/c in August. I guess this latest letter from Barclays must be because the actual payment to them has only just come through.

Have you actually received the payment from 2 months ago, mj? I haven't, and am still waiting for my broker to reply on why. Perhaps it's that payment they're referring to? wshak over on the motley fool has said nothing recently and IIRC the final payment we will get isn't likely to be as high as 5p.

Barclays have just told me that I should expect another 5p per share shortly. Anyone else heard anything similar? Or are Barclays getting confused with the payment 2 months ago?

Stew, Not yet. However, I was informed last week that I will 'shortly' receive 5p per share and that a fourth and final distribution of approx 2- 2.5p per share will be paid in the near future.

Anyone received payment no 3 yet?

No , apparently KPMG are trying to market some capital losses possessed by Gerson Holdings Ltd that could be worth 6p. If they don't find a buyer we can then expect a further & final 2-2.5p.

Does anyone know if there was ever a final payment here after the 10p last May. We were expecting a few pence extra, but I have not received it. Anyone know anything?

More from TMF, courtesy of WShak:

"Not much time so must be brief.

Expect another 10p payment in next two weeks since issue of lone pensioner making direct claim has gone away. This will bring the payment to date to 150p.

Environmental liability is also gone and the lease liability is close to disappearing since the landlord and Croydex have agreed a deal in principle.

I'm told to expect another 4-5p within a couple of months bringing the total return to 154p-155p. Teeny bit disappointed with that since my own calculations had a figure of 157p but still an excellent result. Multiple distributions due to one party or another sticking their oar in hasn't helped ...

Overall, looking pretty good."

Hi 8 ball

Yep, I am, in a nominee account. I rang Halifax on Monday as a result of tiltonboy's message 234, and was told the money would be credited to my bank account either Monday or Tuesday, in fact it was Tuesday. They also promised me a letter explaining what was happening, not seen that yet.

Cheers

Well, that payment was a complete surprise ! When was it announced and by whom ? My broker describes it as a "1st liquidation payment" - does anybody know if there will be a subsequent payment and how much that will be ?
