There shouldn't be any Canadian tax on dividends, have shifted my holding from the TSX to the LSE in expectation there isn't, was 25%. This is a core holding for me, not expecting outsized gains, but not expecting any drama either, steady growth and steady dividends. For widows and orphans.

Thinking of getting back into a little gold. Any views on where to go - if not Yamana? Political considerations a serious RISK factor.

That said - AUY @ under $4 looks pretty attractive.

Borkers tried to tell me I couldn't, but after I pointed out relevant HMRC info and they did some checking they agreed I could. Not sure who they are, the ones who took over Lloyds - maybe Halifax.

I've kept it in my ISA - perfectly ok, as it is listed on a recognized stock exchange, well, two, actually.

You could replace with some NEM. I hold these $ denominated shares in my ISA. A very nice dividend and all-in costs at around $1100/oz.

They have, thanks, say they will switch them to the NY line. I would prefer Toronto, as I don't have to fill in those bloody forms nad give all my details to the US Govt...

Shouldn't need to sell - they are the same shares - just where they are traded is going to change.
