No ouch, 10p dividend took off, people chasing it now thinking it's down a large % but it's actually up a few pence now.

Exactly, thanks, and thanks Lars Ernest Bader! I also let them do the timming, they are usually more patient than I am:)

Yes, I see, you're letting someone else do the picking. In theory someone who should be better informed. Well done with this one.

I'm not very picky:) Trading comparatively small amounts on punts/narratives and more relative to the % of AUM the arb i'm following has invested.

Today it has :)

As a whole it does, but a little bit of success tends to make me/you believe my/your own narrative and thats when it comes off the rails. It's also quite difficult to be patient take a look at SAPO, HRCO and UKRO for example.

"Following completion of the disposal, IMAC's cash balances will amount to approximately GBP21.6 million (equivalent to approximately 15p per IMAC share). "

"In addition, IMAC retains its portfolio investments in Whizz Kid Entertainment Limited, Brand Event Holdings Limited, brandRapport Group and Review Centre Limited which, as at 30 September 2012, were valued in IMAC's balance sheet at approximately GBP10.5 million. "

From the announcement:)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lars Ernest Bader holds 7.19% of IMAC I track the rest of his trades on the WAM thread:-

Yes, funny old game on the face of it. I don't know the company and neither do many by the looks of it. That could change.

You would think this would rise a bit further than 12.5p. The co are saying they have cash of £21.6m and assets of £10.5m. I make that total assets worth 22 pence per share.

Even allowing for the fact that the company are saying they might not return the cash, I would have thought somewhere in the 16-19 pence range is where the price ought to settle.

"Opaque" see what you mean, whish I hadnt bought any already:-)

Funds loading could be positive, large trades yesterday and today. Could be a passive fund unloading not prepared to wait for the fat tail.

Hi Praipus, not a holder but still following from a distance. IMAC still horribly opaque but must be something in the port which raises Mr Bader's hopes. Also noted that Fidelity upped stake in recent months.

ernestly - the share price may not drop 10p (or it might drop more) straight away as in the case of POLO's last special dividend. What appeals to me is all the other investments the company has. They appear to be concentrating more on getting value from their current investments rather than taking on new ones which is encouraging. As you say, it makes a change from miners and oil companies :)

..which works out at 5.26p per share...the consolidated nav on the next page is 18.5p ..

the fair value of adjustment for the disposal of cream is £7.534M, so the share price will be reduced to reflect that adjustment.. i think i understand it now.. i have read the accounts been sick of looking from mining companies so this has made a nice change

ernestly - I can't answer PMs as not a paying subscriber.
Check the last accounts and you will see that the company NAV was about 23.5p with 4.5p of that in cash. Knock off the 10p and the NAV will be about 13p and say the share price will also drop 10p you will be left with shares at a discount to assets. They have a fair portfolio of assets and do not intend to take on any new ones so could be a few realisations in the future. Might be a good long term hold imo.

Page 2 gives a list of the investments.
