29/4/2009 16:23 | Whats going on here then? I got about 30,000 out of curiosity and share price came down. Now it's off skywards again! | harmoye
29/4/2009 13:16 | Can't be many shares in circulation for share price to rise on such low trading. Most shareholders are holding tight it seems. Ignore ADVFN, this share is traded in UK pounds/Pence | harmoye
29/4/2009 12:32 | shorts closing? | wilmot
29/4/2009 10:31 | Anyone any idea whats going on here? | harmoye
09/4/2009 14:10 | As predicted. Robbie12 - 13 Nov'07 - 10:59 - 35 of 39 edit Been to Ocean Edge in St Kitts - horrible site - atlantic coast with huge rollers coming in, down from the Marriott hotel - hideous great thing - and by the main road on the way down to the south coast which is about to be developed. So the road will get VERY busy. Amazed they have sold over 60 of 200. Pinney's Beach on the other hand is a great spot, just down from the Four Seasons - beachfront land there has seriously taken off in price so they should have done well. Humber Valley - no idea - never been there - but seem to be alot of these sorts of developments going up all over the shop in Canada. I guess that is why it is struggling. If they really need cash - sell St Kitts and Humber and keep Nevis. The crown jewel is Nevis - problem is if they have a quick sale of their prime asset (Nevis) - all they will be doing is robbing Peter to pay Paul. Canada and St Kitts - will bleed this company dry. Take 15p now while you can in my opinion. | robbie12
03/3/2009 07:34 | Does the company take its shareholders for fools? They tell us today that the Chief Exec is stepping down and then give us this guff: "Newfound remains a company with assets in the Caribbean that have real potential. I am pleased with the plans developed by the Company for those assets and with the progress made with the two projects. Nevertheless, it is a company with limited financial resources and the above board changes are designed to conserve those resources and allow it to maintain the priorities of continuing to service its debt, negotiating new finance and ensuring that the Company is well-placed when the development market recovers and credit becomes more readily available. Unless new finance can be found for the Group over the coming months, there is a risk that the Company will exhaust its cash resources, in which case it will need to cease operations. The Board continues to evaluate the Company's financial options and will keep shareholders fully informed over the coming months.'" which in plain English translates as: "we are trying to make sure that we are well-placed when the market recovers but by the time it does we will have probably been bust for a very long time as it is more probable than not that we shall be going under in the next few months." | orange1

13/11/2007 09:39 | The more you read the guff the company has put out, the worse it gets. Take Humber Valley for instance and the excuses as to why the houses have not been selling: first it was the fault of the contractors, then it was the absence of air links with the UK and, finally, the best one of all: "we've always said that you can't sell a house in winter". | orange1
28/6/2007 12:48 | That is just so unfair. How could you possibly label this gushing prose as waffle?: "We will learn more lessons as we build our vision for the Company's future - a series of international Newfound resort destinations that allow our homeowners and vacationers to experience authenticity, privacy, luxury, and amenity. With our workdays becoming faster and more hectic all the time, we do not need our vacation retreats to be that way. In order to deliver this type of escape and relaxation, you need to plan for it, and that is what Newfound does. This long term, large scale planning, allows us to protect and preserve our destinations, and make sure that our grandchildren can enjoy the culture, activities, and environment that we enjoy in our locations today." and this: "When we say legacy luxury we mean 5,000+ square foot homes set in over five acres of pristine forest, at elevations overlooking the entire resort; or an architectural masterpiece hidden in two acres of private paradise on the banks of one of the world's greatest Atlantic salmon rivers. This is the type of luxury second home that will be passed from generation to generation. " But best of all this: "We love what we do, and our Company's culture is very much about creating the best places and the right spaces to truly enjoy life's moments of retreat and freedom that took so much work to achieve. While Newfound N.V. is a young company we are not just planning for the next year or so. We are planning for the next generations to create growing value for our shareholders and owners for many years to come." Aaaahh ... bless 'em! | orange1

09/5/2007 08:09 | Interesting results - I suspect the price crash in recent months has been caused by uncertainty over the results. Now that is cleared up, these should begin to zoom. | hamsterwheel
01/5/2007 16:47 | lol, got the absolute lowest today & then it turned. just shows that this one isnt for me. good luck to all. | recruiter
01/5/2007 12:37 | well I am out. Sold @ 45p, couldnt even get bid price. They obviously dont want them. I'll keep watching. | recruiter
01/5/2007 11:11 | Have these since it was a cash shell and then held on because new CEO and management really ponied up alot of their own cash. However, sudden share price moevments like these means that there is probably some more bad news on the way. W | woozle1
25/4/2007 10:20 | jeez there is a quiet thread & then there is this one. | recruiter
21/3/2007 13:06 | reading the news (of which much is not very positive for the group) I would say NAV must be less due to the fact that they gave back 175 acres of land to Nevis Island Govt in the amendment of terms to the development. | recruiter
21/3/2007 12:27 | yes them aswell. so, is NAV really 121p as quoted somewhere on this thread. | recruiter
21/3/2007 12:07 | R you forgot about new projects not yet known about by the hoi polloi | shumba |
