China Considers Change to Nuclear Development Plan
A Chinese energy official said on May 22 that the government is considering an adjustment to its nuclear power development plan.

China will boost nuclear power development in coastal areas while scientifically planning nuclear power stations inland, said Zhou Xi'an, director of the General Affairs Department of the National Energy Administration.

Mainland China has 11 nuclear reactors at six stations, all on the eastern coast, which has a total installed capacity of 9 million kWh.

China has changed its tone on its nuclear power development policy, according to an article written by Zhang Guobao, head of the National Energy Administration. China should take the economic slowdown as an opportunity to adjust the energy mix, Zhou said. He added that China should invest more in developing technology and components for nuclear and wind energy equipment. [

i think uranium will bottom around here and the next major move with NU will be up.no doubt the big buyer thinks something similar

If they buy 30% they have to make a madatory bid for the company - so 29% is generally the maximum stake. Good write up on Value Investing CLub suggesting that the TSX listing would help to narrow the discount but this has not been the case?

Obviously a positive vote of confidence. I think we will see this picking up in the coming months (maybe further down first) - as inflation kicks in and the energy issue come to into the spot light again.

TSX listing approved and trading begins today...

LISTING ON TORONTO STOCK EXCHANGE ('TSX')

Further to the Company's announcement of 6 October 2008, NUL is pleased to announce that the Company has obtained unconditional approval for its shares to be listed on the TSX, having fulfilled all listing conditions.

Accordingly, NUL's shares will commence trading on the TSX at 9:30am EST today, 30 December 2008 under the ticker NU (AIM: NU/).

The shares will be fully fungible between AIM and the TSX, giving investors an effective fourteen hour trading day.

NUL remains committed to its listing on AIM and believes that the Company's profile and future potential will be enhanced by the additional listing on the TSX.

Commenting, Kelvin Williams, Chairman of NUL said:

'We are delighted to have received the necessary approvals for NUL's shares to be traded on the TSX.

'The Board believes that the listing will help improve the liquidity in NUL's shares and thereby increase their alignment with the underlying uranium price.
