Still less than I sold most of my holding for (208p) in Oct 2006.
I imagine whoever sold nearly 20k at 180p yesterday afternoon will not be too happy today - particularly if they are a shorter.
However, it's virtually a done deal and in current markets we shouldn't look a gift-horse etc.

Well added another load yesterday at 185p so can't complain. Still, agree the offer is a bit underwhelming for such a strong company - was hoping for 215-220p.

Today's news is disappointing! I will hold on for the payout, unless the bid/offer spread closes markedly in the meantime.

I suppose even though the offer might appear on the low side it at least held the share price up today as the markets tumbled. Think the price might be nearer 150p now without the take-over specualtion.

Agreed. Added more last week at 185p.

I just picked up a few of these, they had been on the watch list for a while. Hoping for another bidder to emerge, £2.05 looks to be on the low side - hoping for at least £2.30 for a reasonably quick turn.

I agree £2.05 looks like a low-ball price. It should be at least £2.50.

And there's an indicative offer at 205p cash from an industry player:-) A bit earlier than I thought.

IMHO 205p is cheap for a company in their niche with their financial strength and reputation. I suspect we may get a bidding war - I've added quite a few more at 195p.

Nice trading statement as well.

No expert but seems to have broken out of the recent downtrend and back above the 50day MA.....be nice to get over that £2 barrier again.

Interesting thoughts, I guess most small to medium sized co's are a potential target for takeover to a greater or lesser extent.

I suppose a company making profit year on year with assets and cash in the bank might be of more interest than some out there.

CODA will get taken over at some point, although I'd expect the buyer to be an industry player rather than private equity.

The recent SAAS announcement is very big for the company, here's some reaction.

All looks good, sales up, profits up, dividend up, lots of cash. New version of main system launched after the half year end and should sell well to both existing and ne customers.

Share price down, presumably some sellers on good news as usual.

10.6p for the year ending December rising to 11.8p next year. Puts them on a current PE of 17 dropping to 15.5 next year.

Has anybody got any Analyst Estimates for 2007 and 2008 ?

They seem currently well priced if they are at a PE of 30 for 2006.

A lot of trading and a large price rise today. Has anyone seen a report somewhere that might have caused it. I did not expect any action till the half year report is out in a couple of weeks.

I don't know any reason for such a large fall. I suppose there have not been many buyers and with some sellers, and a falling market, it has gone down.

From the stories I hear in the systems market they are doing well and expecting a good year.

Like WJCCGHCC I think it is a well managed company and will do well, as will SciSys. At this price I will be looking to buy.

Well I've just started buying back at 157p having sold most at around 2 quid. This is a very solid company with good experienced management. Reported profit growth may be flat this year because of the inclusion of head office costs (last year they only had 3 months worth) but the underlying growth should be healthy.

If you deduct their 13mm cash, they're trading on 8 x cashflow which puts them well on the radar screen to be bought out, although I suspect management would like to be given the chance to show what they can do for a few years.

If you're looking for a solid company for AIM benefits such as IHT, this is one of the better ones IMHO.

Balancer - what's happened here ?

Really disappointing to see this fall back to £1.50. I hold but wish i'd sold at £2 with a view to buying my holding back at these levels.

There was a very good interview with the Chairman reported in last Sunday's Telegraph. This is probably the cause of the Monday dealings and the increase in the share price. Today's AGM announcement looks good. The shares look like having a good run for the next few months. I am a buyer.

Intersting as we approach the 50day MA again which is now below the £2 mark, so 2 obstacles to get through both the 50day MA and the £2 mark - if it does both i'd say the signs are pretty bullish.
