02/11/2013 11:51 | What the conversion rate, I have certs for just 1600 BLM anyone know if they worth pursuing? | gbh2
16/2/2008 09:01 | It's probably because the C shares have all now been converted mr_chaps and the main shares are required to report. I've started a new thread for OIG maybe there'll be more contributions to it than there have been here. V. | vaneric
15/2/2008 10:45 | so I notice they now give out weekly NAV statements for OIG, not seen that before - is it usual? does it signify anything (beyond the obvious); Net Asset Value(s) Date : 12/02/2008 @ 13:24 Source : UK Regulatory (RNS and others) Stock : Oryx Int. 05/2/2008 13:36 | Lending it to that French guy probably. :-). V. | vaneric
05/2/2008 12:51 | I suppose I cant claim any cap. losses until I sell this damn thing. What a bloody fiasco. What is ORYX doing with the money anyway ? Any point in holding on ?? | ben nevis
23/10/2007 09:36 | I'm left with just 6 worth £18 odd, the latest 'conversion' just changed the shares from 'Oryx International GR C Ordinary' to 'Oryx International Ordinary', in effect it's a consolidation 'O' one for every three 'C', making it a no loss no gain situation. V. | vaneric
22/10/2007 18:55 | ttm2...well I had also done the same as you...given up...but it still wrankles...after posting my torrent...I thought are these extra shares we've been given or is this a new share certificate to replace the old....they don't actually state in the covering letter to distroy the original.....so are we now proud holders of in my case 71 Ordinary Shares of 50p each...and 206 C shares of 50p each....and the quoted price on ADVFN for Oryx is..... Hang on the penny has now dropped....after a bit of detective work...we are now holders of shares in OIG...not OIGC...OIG has no BB link or discussion...has Recent News header of which this RNS is recent:- So that now explains it all....I'm not about to start a discussion on that thread....I've only a £200 stake...NOW...but haven't been turned over recently....before yes....my previous post now retracted....is it worth it....£200........NO | calamity
20/10/2007 11:23 | Hi calamity, I gave up on this one years ago, thank goodness I didn't lose too much. My view is that I've just got a more or less worthless bit of paper. I had my new certificate this morning, out of the blue, I don't keep track of this share anymore...doesn't seem to be any point. Did find this piece regarding the shares though, which may be of interest, rgds Tomatoman RNS Number:1647F Oryx International Growth Fund Ld 04 October 2007 4 October 2007 For Immediate Release Oryx International Growth Fund Limited ("Oryx" or the "Company") Cancellation of C Shares The Company announces that 2,542,376 C shares of 50 pence each ("C Shares") held by Baltimore Capital plc, a wholly owned subsidiary of Oryx, have been cancelled. In addition, Oryx has also received 224,799 C Shares following the winding up of Lionheart USA MicroCorp in which it was interested. These C Shares have also been cancelled. Accordingly, the Company's issued share capital now consists of the following: 16,252,774 ordinary shares of 50 pence each with voting rights 24,799,646 C Shares with voting rights Therefore, the total number of voting rights in the Company is 41,052,420. The above figure of 41,052,420 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules. | tomatoman2
20/10/2007 10:28 | Well according to my new share certificate received today from Capita registrars....I now hold a princely amount of 71 shares....I did hold 206 after being turned over previously on the Baltimore deal.....is there no justice in this seemingly robbing society of so called fund companies.....there has been no elevation in the share price to account for this....so what happened here....I do not remember being informed of any consolidation of shares....where is this RNS regarding consolidation the last RNS listed by ADVFN is for somewhere in April/May and that wasn't for that was it........ROBBING BARSTARDS.......I did have equity of approx. £210......now since being turned over in a back alley I have approx. £72......... | calamity
04/10/2007 15:11 | It's a straightforward one for one. V. | vaneric
04/10/2007 13:06 | can anyone explain what the RNS means. what is calculation for conversion? Is there a multiple formula or we get 1 for 1. Presently for my bLM shares I hold 676 OIGC shares. | chameli
30/1/2007 08:27 | sorry no, Maybe they are approaching their NAV? please post if you find out. | mr_chaps
08/1/2007 23:43 | Does anyone know reasons for rise in this shell for ex BLM? | n13518
09/10/2006 12:32 | Comfirmation they have 90 per cent RNS just out. | rhiannon
05/10/2006 13:11 | Similar with me. My consolidated BLM shares ended up at 200 for which I recieved 37 OIGC shares. As they are more or less worthleSs to me , they will just be filed away at the back of my portfolio ledger to wait and see what happens. John | sicker
05/10/2006 12:33 | Thanks Vaneric. The value of the shares will be pretty abysmal, prob why NatWest isn't keeping me informed. | ben nevis
05/10/2006 11:53 | Ben, it's all much too complicated to explain now, there was so much jiggery pokery with consolidations etc. as BLM took its dive, the only thing to do is ask your broker if you were allotted any OIGC shares against your BLM holding, it depends on how many you had at the end. I originally bought £950 worth of BLM and over the period I owned them they were wittered down by the various consolidations etc. to 100 shares at the end which have been converted to 18 OIGC shares in the last fix. V. | vaneric
05/10/2006 10:57 | Please help ! I had a few BLM, and really didnt have time to follow all the complexities or do any voting etc. So what do I own now ? | ben nevis
02/10/2006 11:54 | Hi anyone have any idea why the gap is getting wider between buy & sales? | x1pcf
28/9/2006 10:11 | Tis all done and dusted, they've got the lot. V. | vaneric
28/9/2006 10:00 | Have they got 90 percent yet | rhiannon
15/9/2006 12:00 | Thankyou for the info andy. | gnash
14/9/2006 14:36 | Opps, poor old Duncan,,another missed opportunity! But maybe a nice pay off? At least Oryx seem to be extracting value and conducting themselves properly. regards T.. | tradx666 |
