So in Dec 2010 they bought back 26.7% of the company for £3,537,762.72, and then in Feb 2011 they sold 25% to Alibaba for 170m RMB, or about £17m.

I don't think so, unless you want a share in an untradable company with corporate governance issues which might compulsorily purchase your shares in a few months, for the same price you could get now.

Then again they may go on to greatness and relist somewhere else.

I think that there are enough other, liquid opportunities to go into that I don't want to keep funds tied up here. If you like China and software, there's GNG which seems more solid and is also very cheap.
