12/4/2003 00:00 | I am surprised at the lack of comments on this thread with all that is going on with Six Continents. They are going through a major reorganisation and making loads of redundancies. Personally, I don't think the two new companies will last long as they will be bought out by other interested parties. | kammy

20/3/2003 11:53 | There are two interim dividends, the second is based on the period up to the division of SXC. From then on each company will have its own dividend pattern. The second interim had a record date of 21st March, and will be paid on April 9th and will be at 6.6p per share. | opus1

13/3/2003 14:57 | Good news, demerger to go ahead, shareholders to get 81p + div & a big chance that the resultant two companies will attract bidders & give us even more value than Osmond could have!! Yippee | taylorag

12/3/2003 14:47 | shareholders agree to demerge (bloomberg tv ) | supervisor
12/3/2003 09:28 | What will be the implications if either demerger is postponed or even the other way - where do people see this price going. | octopus100
11/3/2003 00:43 | I would have thought some of the other hotel companies would have come uout of the woodwork now and made a play - don't want to get buying this after the demerger when top dollar will have to be paid. Anyone any thoughts on the demerger being delayed Wed? | octopus100
08/3/2003 00:53 | I assume the posters above are all shareholders - sometimes I wonder. As a shareholder myself I have voted for the separation to go ahead as I firmly believe the sum of the parts is greater than the whole. I want the next interim divi, and I want the 81p per share. These are certainties - and cash! A bidding war for Six Continents after the split will be far more interesting, both for the company and the shareholder, and also avoid pub divestment problems. Osmond is only interested in short term asset stripping for his own benefit; he has absolutely no knowledge of the hotel business, and neither does he have any knowledge of global management. In short, I consider his offer to be entirely frivolous and in my eyes he is bad news all round. | opus1
07/3/2003 14:00 | I think the article was in the telegraph web site. Definately on the Charles Schwab site | richsawko
07/3/2003 10:11 | Come on Hugh up the stakes - go for 6.70 - don't let them lock you out at that demerger meeting. | octopus100
