Failed sale process seems to have little to do with market conditions and much more due to weak company numbers. Difficult to know where the company goes from here. More downgrades to follow I would guess.

Down due to dumping after special dividend, so this could continue for a while. I think it has already been over done but common sense never sets the market price!

Cash should have been returned already latest was 19/12/07 and even my broker managed to stump up before this date (for once).

Can you let me know when you are paid the cash dividend and which broker you use. The reason I ask is that under other scheme of arrangments my broker seems to hold onto the cash until I ask where it is! Therefore it would be good to go back and quote facts.

As an example the latest date given by CHS is 19/12/07 and I bet my money will not appear until I chase after this date.

yes he wants to sell but as he says he has to listen to other shareholders and
also he says that it would be very very valuable to one of the big record publishers.I also think that the sums we're talking about here would be small
change for someone like warner or sony.Interesting times.

RNS "Chrysalis Music founder says he is ready to sell" not new news to long term holders. The price is estimated now at £120 mill (71.5p share) IF they can find a buyer in current market state.

So assuming they can and with 57.5 dividend is still only giving a share value of £1.29 per share.

For note in July this year the music business was expected to fetch £180 mill.

a44 you could be right about the drop but to be honest i don't think this is going to happen.The management seem to be putting in place a new strategy to take the business forward and also i think there's quite a good chance of a take out here from one of the big boys.Anyway thanks for the advice,might wait awhile and see how things develope.Good luck regards a&p

Just be aware that after dividend the share price will sharply fall and the basis of Chrysalis workings is to £1.06.

But that does not suggest the market will drop the price to this level, I think if will be far lower especially as results geared to later part of the year, and current market state.

I am hoping for a rise leading up to the ex date and then I will decide if to take the dividend or take value in share price.

Hopefully brokers will jump on today/tomorrow pushing price up.

We have been shafted so I would advise voting against proposal.

"4. Will there be any change to the value of my shareholding?
You will, subject to adjustments for fractional entitlements, own the same proportion of the ordinary
share capital of the Group immediately before and immediately after implementation of the Scheme.
However, you will hold fewer New Ordinary Shares than Existing Ordinary Shares as fewer New
Ordinary Shares will be issued in total. Subject to normal market movements, there is no reason to
believe that, as a result of the Proposals, the market value of your holding of New Ordinary Shares
plus your share of the Return following implementation of the Proposals would be any different from
the market value of your holding of Existing Ordinary Shares before the Proposals had been effected"

So based on 19/10/07 which this is all based we expect 1.06 in total. Did they release this at this time knowing their share prices was close to it's lowest point in 5 years?

Does anyone greater than I, have any comments on this announcement today re return of capital,I am just a little lost at the moment on the effect on the share price 2 morrow.
