12/11/2013 09:47 | alter ego, I was thinking the same and Andor's announcement confirms their discontent ... The Board of Andor is disappointed that, having only made the indicative proposal on 8 November, Oxford Instruments has chosen to make today's announcement, which the Board of Andor considers to be premature and unhelpful in light of ongoing discussions. Given the level of uncertainty and conditionality, the Board of Andor felt that it could not properly consider the proposal, but it did confirm to Oxford Instruments that it remained willing to continue discussions to explore whether a definitive, acceptable offer might be found that was in the interests of Andor shareholders. re: OXIG share price, is not the rise due to the Interim Results? | piedro
12/11/2013 09:29 | I was thinking the absence of an RNS from Andor might suggest the OXIG were trying to put pressure on a reluctant BOD by going public. This looks to be the case now that AND have rushed out a response. It especially irritating for me as a long term holder in AND where I see a good future and where I was on the point of buying OXIG in the next few days given the steady downward drift which was making them look good value. Now OXIG has soared as it looks like investors think they would be getting a very good deal. Not what I hoped for. | alter ego
