breaking out of downtrend?

looks as though this is breaking out of the downtrend today if it can hold early gains until close of play!
anybody got any thoughts on yesterdays announcement by vodafone that it will be dealing with samsung electronics who are using qualcomm chips to provide high speed download packet access technology (in other words high speed internet access and downloads). isnt this the type of technology ttp are dealing in and the sort of deal that would of suited them?
