Agree. Slightly surprised that the shareprice did not move up following the builders, post-budget. Think the market will catch on soon enough.

The National Grid contract will give the share price an additional lift on top of the natural rise to be expected due to increased infrastructure and building expenditure.

We'll be at 50p soon, and then a run up to £1, and beyond ...

I tend to buy high tech shares that utilise science that most people have never heard of, or if they have, they don't appreciate its potential; but sometimes a plain common or garden type of business that provides what is always wanted is good. Don't go gold mining, buy the shares of the companies supplying the miners: and in this case, buy Speedy because it's supplying the builders; whether it's roads, buildings, or any other type of structure, Speedy will be there with the tools needed for the job.

crosswire Wednesday 27 March 2013

Analysts Paul Jones and Mike Allen said: “Speedy has announced what we believe is a significant contract with National Grid to provide hired plant and equipment under a managed service contract.

“The contract will start fairly slowly following an initial audit of requirements and a phased mobilisation, after which we believe the contract could grow materially.

“However, in the short-term we believe the contract is more important as an indicator of coming activity levels and of customers setting out their stall ahead of the next phase of growth.”

They added: “This contract will underpin current forecasts rather than increase them at this stage, but we increase our long-standing target price from 50p to 56p and reiterate our buy recommendation.”
