10/2/2016 09:33 | Cheers Gengulpus yes it is you then. Some very good pieces from you over on the TMF. In fact your my favourite poster over there, tend to get Pauly who is too loyal to his companys and holding onto long, and david whos portfolio is far too big to be managed correctly. Keep the good work up. Lets not fall out just because i have a shorter time range for trading/investing than you. cheers | market sniper3
10/2/2016 09:14 | market sniper, Yes, I post under the same name both here and on TMF. I don't post as much here, but I've been around for a long time and am fairly familiar with the local wildlife! Best ignored as you say - and by the way, feeding them is not ignoring them... Gengulphus | gengulphus
10/2/2016 08:30 | CASH being the operative word, Cash is FACT profit is an OPINION. BUT, dont be fooled that just because its a sound company it wont be pulled down with the rest. | market sniper3
10/2/2016 08:16 | In the dot com boom companies were valued at prices that made no sense at all, PE ratios of 100 and more, companies with no sales or profits to speak of rated in the 100s of millions. This is not the case here. ZYT is a stable well run business that is not expensively rated. They have net cash on the balance sheet and pay half the earnings as a dividend. They are in a growth sector and clearly have good tech that is delivering sales growth. | rcturner2
10/2/2016 08:12 | Hmmmmmm good retort, were obviously looking at differing time frames for our investing/trading. I think Ive seen some very good pieces on the Motley Fool from you. I may be mixing you up with someone with a similar name but if your the person i think you are keep the good work up and ignore shauney above, advfns resident junkie and his friend who just like to bully posters. Trully feel sorry for the former a once good solid performer, but once the drugs get hold of him, sigh. | market sniper3
10/2/2016 07:47 | Yep they all said that during the Dot Comma and 2008.........are they around anymore??????. Some aren't, some are - and a fair proportion of those that are have turned into multi-baggers. That's why my proviso is important and why I stressed it by emboldening the word "provided"! Dont get me wrong i love this company and its products, but after 30 + years of market trading you realise when to accept that market psychology speaks far more than a solid balance sheet. It doesn't speak - it shouts! I.e. very loud for a while, but then it exhausts itself, the solid balance sheet starts to be heard again and the share recovers very nicely. Provided the balance sheet really is solid! For "market trading" with its suggestion of a fairly short time horizon, you're probably right - market psychology ceasing to shout may well be beyond that horizon. But for long-term investing, such shouting can present good opportunities. Gengulphus | gengulphus
