There has just been some positive news too. 95 percent of the welsh agents have signed up with Zoopla. It will be at a massively reduced rate as they all came together but at least that is a massive shock to Rightmove.

Anyone read the Full year results or accounts?

Must be something the market didn't like for the share price to drop nearly 6% when the Ftse was up massively

I know I keep trying to keep my enthusiasm up, but I'm sure it just get's balanced by others posting their views.

Just went on the underground and buses in central London and saw posters from Zoopla,(on the escalators and on the whole side of buses ) with the message 1 in a million, meaning finding your property from 1 million properties in their data base.

Much better than traipsing around many different agents

Zoopla the buyers friend.

Compare to RMV on house sale, only half of properties listed on Zoopla.

Try a search in your local area.

Stamp duty changed should increase the number of transactions dramatically. Because, especially around the £250k range, first time buyers in the South East and 2nd time buyers in rest of UK, both up sizing and downsizing, that slab old S D would add thousands of pounds to property that tried to sell a bit above £250k

Did anyone see Newsnight last night (Thur) it was about computerization of white collar jobs over the next 20 years

97% of people in Estate Agents will have their jobs taken over by computers!!!!!

Who is in the market with a computer data base that can help people find and price properties independently from, the soon to come, computer only driven Estate Agents

Rightmove and Zoopla, and Rightmove is a bit too close to the Estate Agents for independence

There is so much uncertainty, zoopla does not make money on house transactions so the stamp duty changes should have no effect. They make their money from agents paying a monthly subscription. Zoopla have just offered our firm a 64 percent reduction in our fee's to stay with them. We are still not decided on what we are doing. Rightmove gives us better leads but cost way more. Just imagine if most of the properties come off zoopla. Early next year is going to be interesting.

Up and down by up to 5p today, is it low volume or market makers doing a tree shake?

Oh dear, all increase wiped out, maybe not so good for house sales

Market like the new house stamp duty, no slabs, so houses should sell at any small increase

Not like before where you had a big problem selling house from £250k to £290k,ish Because SD went up thousands

Didn't seem to effect the market, probably like the bad reviews on trip advisor.

People know there is always an agenda

Will be over IPO price soon(220p)

Thanks Gill, I'll have a look at GEM

I think that sounds too risky for me. However just bought three thousand shares in GEM this afternoon. There is a good BB with lots of research and just tipped in Interactive Investor. I think you should find some safe havens for your money Robert, unless your just rich!!

I've always been heavily invested in Bank shares, and that paying off nicely today.

Well done getting out if you are not happy.

Looks like over 200p and staying there is not likely for a while

I've been in SXX for a year or so, might be worth a look.

I paid 19.5p on average with £25k investment

It seemed a sure winner(don't they all) it's a proposed potash mine to be opened in North Yorkshire, near Whitby

R4 in Business did a prog saying all the locals were investing.

SP has been as high as 29p and as low as 6p in Nov 13, they need planning permission from the North York's Moors Parks (a difficult job) but they have to give a decision in Feb next year

SP has been around 11.5 to 12p to buy for months

If they get PP there is still the problem of funding

I'm down about £9K

Could be worth watching, if PP looks likely in Jan/Feb you could make a bit

For the record, I also think there will only be bad news ahead. Agents will announce if they are giving up either Rightmove or Zoopla in the next month or so, and bad news moves prices disproportionately. A profit warning would see these shares plunge. However I do think its a very good company and will watch for an entry point again.

The question is where to put my money next?

Actually, I sold at £201.8. Sorry Robert, but I don't like the volatility so happy to stay out for now. Good luck, but perhaps you should reduce your holding and bank profits!

Do you want to post £3?
