Carnage.

If ZOO are saying they will miss the year end targets due to poor IDVD sales then it follows that they are not expecting to make any revenue from TAS deals before year end otherwise that would have offset the shortfall on DVD Extra revenue.

The cash in the bank is dwindling and i am sceptical if ZOO are going to be able to stem the cash burn before thay can get TAS finished let alone sign any studio deals. Nobody wanted to use the Regionalisation Tool, except Disney, and it looks like the same thing is happening with TAS.

With Sonic bringing a comparable tool onto the market backed with their well oiled marketing machine, established relationships and distribution channels I can not see ZOO software getting a look in.

The Disney revenues alone do not balance the books. I can not therefore see how ZOO has a viable future. They still need money to even finish and market TAS let alone cover monthly overheads. The £1.2m is not going to go far.

I do not think the city has the stomach for yet another fundraiser and thus I think ZOO has about 6 months to complete TAS and sign some deals or go bust.

macca...it went up on light trading, came down the same way. Doubt if there is more than 75k still being held from the rise. mm's will keep hitting it on light trading, but the reverse is another 100% low volume rise on any good news, such is the way of AIM.

Bodgit...There is no liquidity left. Most of those that bought on the way up, sold on the way down. When the buying starts, it will bounce....but depends when the buying starts. I dont fancy propping it up until we get some figures/good news.

At least there has not been a mass stampede out of ZOO - so far anyway. It is my worst performing share and I will not be investing even petty cash amounts in this one - thrice bitten, twice shy!. Good weekend all.

It's like frigging Groundhog Year round here!

Late in the year "looking good for profit next year"... a few weeks later "oops Christmas was bad, no profits sorry". First year it was blamed on Premier Manager and Sony not getting enough PS2s on the shelves. Each year there's always been someone to point the finger at. There's a big f'ing finger pointing at this companies management!

I was lucky enough to make a small profit on these shares a while back. Still hold some out of interest. The product has potential. Unfortunately we are stuck with management unable to make the most of it :-(

Zoo Digital sees FY results materially behind expectations

LONDON (AFX) - Zoo Digital Group PLC said that its full-year results will be
materially behind expectations owing to disappointing Christmas sales at
now-discontinued DVD publishing business ZIV.
Zoo said that the poor financial performance of ZIV, which it says will lead
to a "significant shortfall in revenue," justified the board's decision to get
out of the business of acquiring intellectual property rights for consumer
product development.

well, any chance of survival will stem around TAS deals, or any near future product line becoming compelling.... it would take a brave man to buy at this point IMO. See if it becomes any more tempting, bargain:risk ratio could come into play...
