Added just a few more Zoltav at 21p. Despite the very wide spread they look very cheap with the continued worries by Saudi Arabia over Yemen. Saudi are known to have problems at present oil prices and may just have to restrict supplies rather than supply at a loss.

Looks like the current frosty political relationship between the West and Russia may be about to thaw (Putin/Trump). Can't be bad for Zoltav.

Zol is profitable even now but with oil prices going higher more money would fall into net profit and therefore improve p/e ratio , however it is good to see that the company even in this climate value itself not on the cheap side.

Well its in the October 2016 Corporate Presentation, which does not mean you are not correct 'ecover'.
Regardless even if you halve the CPR figure the mkt cap is till under 10% of the number..

CPR valuation for two fields, Bortovoy and Koltogor $885m or £700m.
Mkt cap: £30m.

Mkt cap is still £30m. How can they add additional producing wells or increase capacity if cash in balance sheet looks thin?

There is something spooking the market IMO?

Does anyone know who sold the oil producing assets to ZOL?

cheers ' paperclip3' I once had ZOL on my research list as it had raised cash at much higher levels than the share price of 30p back then.

I noted the profits in the most recent account statement but then couldn't find the cash! So that explains it.

It's still on my watch list but I do wonder if the money was really made by whoever sold the assets?

Despite my cynicism, I may take a few if I can put my AIM related total mistrust of companies aside. Doesn't seem to be many traded though.

Blinking eck. 54k dumped at 15p! Someone was desperate for some funds! I guess the drop was to bring in some buyers for the sell order. Still no one has beaten my world record low buy at 19.32p several months back! ;-)

Nick, proceeds of placings were used to buy attractive assets. Its most recent accounts show that Zoltav is now a company making a profit, in spite of low energy prices and a weak rouble. Zoltav appears to be a very well run and efficient company. The low share price beggars belief.

Can anyone update me on ZOL?

Some time ago I remember they did a huge placing and I noted lots of cash in the company.... some time later ( a year or two or more, I can't remember) I note that recently the balance sheet doesn't have this cash anymore?

Did they buy something with it and who got the cash? cheers NR
