we were told that the net asset value was £32 when pubs each valued as single entity, what do you reckon is value when sold all together? Any Ideas?

"A site visit to Young's new brewery in Bedford put leisure analysts in good cheer, although it did little for the volume of stock traded. Young's shifted operations from its historic site in Wandsworth to the Charles Wells brewery in Bedford last year and treated key contacts in the City to a tour of the site and a pub lunch.
With so many movers and shakers sampling Young's beer rather than trading the company's shares, the stock drifted 14p to 3336p on very light volumes."

Good set of results, divi up 50%, and quoting the end of the results....

Just checked the money coming in and it's.......
"The cash consideration for the Disposal is #69m made up as follows:

- a deposit of #14m payable today; (3-8-06)
- #8.5m payable in June 2007, on completion of the sale of the Buckhold
Road site; and
- #46.5m payable in January 2008, on completion of the sale of the Ram
Brewery site."

Yes, tidying up before announcement? Also, I wonder if this is some of the money they are buying debentures back with is from cash (or promised cash) from the sale of the brewery site? Apart from JHD, this is one of my favourite stocks, and 3rd. largest holding.

Further to the announcement on 23 April 2007, the Company announces that, at the
meeting of stockholders held earlier today, the extraordinary resolution
authorising the Company to redeem all of the Stock was passed.
