18/11/2003 10:14 | Don't know, but the share price seems to be subsiding again back towards the bottom at 4p. This company is a real frog! The chance of it turning into a prince looks more and more remote, but my holding is worth so little now it's scarcely worth selling! | hosede

08/10/2003 00:13 | cg1953 - Sry for the delay, been away. Yes I do follow the textiles but usually don't make any money out of it ;-( Pity about Yorklyde's takeover and the demise of Moorbrook (Moorhouse & Brook) - Their fabrics were truly high quality and they ought to have been a UK manufacturing company able to compete viably against overseas competition. Gyllenhammer thought he could move production to the borders and keep customers sweet but, from what I hear, that's not the case and several of their big name customers have looked at the quality of the Scots product and cancelled their orders. The skills needed to produce very high quality fabrics are quite subtle and built up over generations I'd guess? Maybe not as easy to transfer as accountants would believe? Still no doubt Peter will get his profitable planning permission for even more 'executive' housing in the area and the once skilled manufacturing operatives can join our service sector flipping burgers for a living. Sad really and one wonders where it will all end? | enochthenocker
07/10/2003 15:13 | Hi, Been watching Yorkshire Group for a while, but looks too risky to me right now. Could go bust if assets not sold off in a reasonable time frame. Peter Gyllenhammer followers may be interested to hear that he has just bought a 6% stake in Indigovision (IND) which looks a much safer bet with 70p net cash v 41p share price. Results soon should give an indication of viability of business. DYOR. Chris | cvolbrac
