Glencore meeting has been delayed. XTA went from minus 5% at open to plus 5% in seconds at start of trading today. May you live in interesting times!

what a shammbles when the directors of XTA recommend the merger only because they are their mates are looked after by being offered good positions but never consulting the main shareholders about whether 2.8 is a fair offer . Well, today is the day of the decision - this morning I think !

if you are right , it is now a screaming buy as at such a wide discount to merger terms ! A gamble but risk/reward ratio seems favourable .

I think recovery was due mainly to dow futures bounce but might be a different story when physical opens at 2.30pm !

I'm negative overall, but ENRC is holding up quite well. Some stocks have beem beaten down very badly. XTA could lose 200 points if things get nasty.

A lot of bad news in the markets with very weak China data (sending copper prices much lower and resource stocks), mounting Spain issues and American non action (due partly to elections). Really hard to call the markets at the moment so maybe time to sit out for a few weeks.

yes, a big selloff along with other resource stocks ! seems certain that merger is off and insiders know that but are not entitled to the info ! disgusting but hard to police !

yes, a pain at times and even times out when trying to access discussion boards - but it is a free service and charts are excellent.

ADVFN up to their tricks again. Level 1 unusable due to instant timing out. Oh well - at least there are others, happy to provide the service for the sake of the adverts only.

the market has certainly made up it's mind that merger is off as the XTA share price shows at such a wide discount to merger terms - hope they are wrong !

i hold enrc underwater at present.
stilltempted but it is 80% owned by russians, and involved in bribery corruption problems.
still very cheap, tempted to top up.
(wonder if glen will take them out if xta falls through)

It keeps falling for very little reason and a lot more than the sector average so its pricing fundamentals are looking promising. Quite interesting to me..

I'm long on ENRC, and it's a good long term buy but very weak at the moment.

I agree re Lonmin, that will become an issue here.
