WORLD LEADING 3D CENTRE FORMALLY OPENED

Xaar plc ("Xaar"), the leader in industrial inkjet technology, is pleased to announce the formal opening of its world class 3D Centre on the Nottingham Science Park under the leadership of Professor Hopkinson, the original investor of High Speed Sintering ("HSS") technology. The new 3D facility provides world class services and resources to continue the development of High Speed Sintering technology.

The successful event was attended by guests from a number of large international businesses including ABB, BAE Systems and Jaguar Land Rover. The Xaar 3D Centre is another example of Xaar's commitment to invest in world class technology and products to retain its strong position in its target markets. It positions Xaar to capitalise on the long term growth opportunities in the 3D printing sector and demonstrates the Company's commitment to investing in technology and product development - a key element of its 2020 vision.

High Speed Sintering is a revolutionary Additive Manufacturing / 3D Printing technology which uses inkjet printheads and infrared heaters to manufacture products layer by layer from polymer powder materials at much higher speeds and lower costs than other 3D printing processes. This technology is therefore of interest to companies looking to use 3D printing in volume manufacturing.
