Wynnstay Group Plc ("the Group"), which has been established for over 80 years, is a broadly based agricultural supply business trading in the North West, the Midlands, and throughout Wales. The Group operates through three trading divisions; Feed, Arable and Stores. The Feed division manufactures compound and blended animal feeds, distributes a wide range of specialist feeding products such as supplements and minerals, and also operates a raw material wholesaling business to other manufacturers and users. The Arable division supplies fertilisers, agro-chemicals, and seeds from its own processing plant, together with offering a grain marketing service for its farmer customers. The Stores division operates a chain of 24 retail outlets in Mid and North Wales, Shropshire and Cheshire. These businesses supply a range of goods to both farmers and the general public; including clothing, hardware, pet products and gardening requirements as well as the agricultural products from its other divisions. The Group employs over 330 people and has its Head Office near Oswestry in Shropshire. It is proposed that Wynnstay will withdraw from OFEX on close of business on 24 May 2004 and trading will commence on AIM on 25 May 2004. This timetable will be confirmed in due course. | currypasty |
