Hello KPO115. Most selective. Why don't you repeat my posts made after 10 July last year?

O hello votiem. You are a garrulous little chappie, aren’t you? You seem to pride yourself on your investment skills, your prescience, your foresight. I know you’re not happy for me to print what you’ve said before, presumably because it sits awkwardly with what you’re saying now. Anyway I took five minutes and made this quick selection. It doesn’t bear out what you just claimed does it?

Just asking, that’s all, LOL.

WOODFORD PATIENT CAPITAL TRUST - WPCT

Votiem - 28 Apr 2015 - 08:08:34 - 64 of 742
Up to £1.06 already! Amazing. I'm happy to hold for the long term.

Votiem - 03 May 2015 - 13:01:22 - 102 of 742
This fund looks v healthy whatever the election result... if there's a downtown N W has cash to pick up value stocks... think it share price will trade in narrow range from about £1.03 - £1.12 over the next 12 months.

Votiem - 05 Jun 2015 - 10:37:28 - 146 of 742
Well... very nice progress. I'll just sit back, hold and watch. I'm patient. Have noticed daily trading volumes very low on this one suggesting most other holders are as well.

Ditto Dr B - Woodford a top man and he's rubbed a few brokers' noses in their poo.

Interesting debate and I side with those of us holding for the long term. Woodford is a very safe pair of hands. He'll surely invest wisely and cautiously. The Woodford 'added cache' factor is significant. Barring a global financial disaster I think the fund will grow steadily and surely and the premium to NAV will hold. Certainly I'd be happy with consistent annual growth of 10-12% - it beats anything offered by a bank or building society.

My dear Air Marshall. I really can't be bothered to find the posts you're looking for but I did indeed, declare my trades. I'll leave it up to you to trawl through if you doubt my word... and I suspect yours are not those of a high-ranking military officer after all... not that RAF officers were ever known for their manners.

Certainly I haven't always got it right but thankfully with Woodbine I have done. Happy investing my air headed friend.

And to MF let me assure you that like my bank balance my mind suffers little in the way of deficiency.

And to LK please keep posting. The likes of Mad and Marshall can only benefit from your wisdom.

I'm not sure what the attraction of WPCT is to the detractors. Is it that the very term "patient" is an affront to their attention deficient minds?

In the end, most of us here bought with a long timescale in mind. The name of the company makes that clear. The fee structure charged by Woodford makes it clear: if he doesn't make long term, sustainable gains he gets nothing. There really isn't much more to say about it.

Yes, just as I expected. A classic diversionary ploy from votiem. He makes a detailed double prediction which he got laughably wrong and then pleads that it was just a matter of 'timing'. His pompous prophecy, he claims, "will come true at some undetermined time in the future". Surely even he realises that the majority of worthless predictions might come true if you wait long enough. No, truly, his credibility is shot to pieces.

Which makes his amazing claims about buying and selling this share at exactly the correct time all the more suspect. Surely again even he realises that in the cesspit that is ADVFN nobody is going to believe his ridiculous claims unless he bores us all to death with a report AT THE TIME OF BUYING AND SELLING and not AFTER THE EVENT. (Erm, please don't interpret that as an invitation to publish a catalogue of your petty transactions.)

Votiem, and his close buddy the Liquescent Kid, believe that they are held in high regard on this thread. Otherwise why play the portentous guru all the time? It is manifestly clear that the other denizens of this thread do not share the regard in which these charlatans hold themselves.

Great posts! Thanks Air Marshall... and as a former RN officer albeit of lower rank I naturally value your comments even more. Quite correct in that I don't hold any. Got out at 115.5 then bought back in at 106 and then out again at 108 and a bit... and haven't touched these lemons since.

To Kpo115 I'm genuinely flattered you've dug up one of my posts. Yep... I got the timing wrong but still go with 73-75p at some point in the medium term. As for being part of a coalition...? You're absolutely right! The Air Marshall, LK and I are plotting against Woodbine and preparing to take over the world.

And the floater this week so far is...

Oh Drax the Draxon at Drax has Draxed the Draxing shareholders over. Instead is running the show for: employees, the greenies, the government and the sheep (retail customers). Blame it on dark green spreads being very weak or CFDs or the biomass boondoggle journey.
Cut the dividend down to 0.6 pence per share, equivalent to a stingy GBP 2 million. - That's less than the fat cats pay packet.
When a company values its employees over its shareholders that is a RED FLAG signal to get out of dodge. (see SPD for a lesson in that)
WolfofWoofSt is going to be baying at the moon from the savaging of the growth and income for the next ten years.

Here's what the prophet votiem recently said:

"Votiem - 21 Jan 2016 - 22:59:05 - 647 of 736
Well... NAV to share price has at last reached equilibrium.

As of now given traditional discounts to NAV with OEICs I can see 79p in the next week.

And given the mega uncertainties globally expressed so eloquently by fellow posters with few signs of pressures abating here I can see 73-75 p in the next four weeks."

Brilliant, eh? Part of the anti WOOFWOOF coalition?

LK - you make excellent observations and if fellow posters are in denial about WPCT's inherent flaws it's their problem. I'm afraid there will always be those who praise the Emporer's new clothes."

LO! I am the liquescent one. I am the EMPORER. Anything I say is true even though most of what I say makes no sense, even though the shares I refer to form no part of the Investment Trust. I have developed an irrational hatred of Woodford, whom I have, ever so wittily, renamed as WOOFWOOF. I don't care what the investors think when I am always supported by my old mate Votiem... who doesn't own ANY!

Bedtime stories:
What's more, there is an overwhelming likelihood of failure, as 85-95% of all prospective new drugs fail to reach approval.

Mereo Biopharma (unquoted)Health Care, no.46 WPCT 0.81% / no.89 WEIF 0.09%

Why the door is Closed.
1. Closed-ended funds have an independent board of directors, responsible for appointing and overseeing the management of the fund by a professional manager (who is not an employee of the investment trust).
- Is NW going to sack himself for underperformance?
2. Ability to borrow
- because there's no chance now of another equity raise.

Mr Biotech,
(NW could be refered to as Dr Bio as he seems to have his hands in so many illegitimate Biotech abortions to be) What is strange bout the following statement:

DUBLIN, Ireland, Feb. 18, - Prothena Corporation plc PRTA, -6.89% a late-stage clinical biotechnology company focused on the discovery, development and commercialization of novel protein immunotherapies
- Announced PRONTO, a global registration-directed Phase 2b trial of NEOD001
- Presented positive Phase 1/2 multiple ascending dose results for NEOD001
- Presented Phase 1 single ascending dose results for PRX002
- Initiated Phase 1 single ascending dose study of PRX003

'Announced PRONTO a Phase 2b trial'
So a late stage biotech is 'talking' about doing a phase 2b have they skipped question 2a?
Early stage biotech is around discovery or preclinical stage assets, where the aim is to move them through to human Proof of Concept. What stage are PRTA at? is that why half its $1 billion cap is cash?

Rode a bike round Barcelona.

Drivers were more considerate than I expected.

Great restaurant where they knocked down the housing for the olympics.

Not a bad place to spend a little money.

Hope they enjoy the trip.

I stopped at the point the article shouted BARCELONA.
WTF is 'Federated' Wireless doing with your money in BARCELONA? attending a Atlético de Madrid away game?
Quite frankly with these press releases it looks ridiculous as trying to pick through the dung of the white elephant Allied Minds like a gibbering baboon.

You just don't get it do you. Not FACTS mine are observations and an OPINION, you minion.

Thought you might like to read this about federated wireless - the company wpct recently invested into.

Federated Wireless, Google, Intel, Nokia, Qualcomm and Ruckus Wireless Commit to Develop and Promote Solutions Using 3.5 GhZ CBRS
BARCELONA - February 18, 2016 - Six wireless industry leaders today announced their shared commitment to develop, market and promote solutions utilizing the U.S. 3.5 GHz Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS). The six companies-Federated Wireless, Google, Intel, Nokia, Qualcomm Incorporated and Ruckus Wireless-believe that CBRS will be critical to drive innovation, support new business models and spur economic growth.

Last April, the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) adopted rules for CBRS, which opens 150 MHz of spectrum (3550-3700 MHz) for commercial use. Because spectrum access is actively coordinated based on priority and granular location, it becomes possible for regulators to make previously allocated spectrum available to new entrants and services-while providing necessary protections for incumbent users of the band.

The six companies aim to build a robust ecosystem of industry participants and make CBRS solutions as widely available as possible. For example, private enterprises, venues and fixed operators could autonomously deploy high-quality in-building LTE networks into which all mobile network subscribers can roam. Operators could benefit from a significantly expanded footprint and capacity on new spectrum, while subscribers could enjoy a consistent wireless broadband experience-particularly in challenging places such as indoor locations, venues and corporate campuses.

The companies will continue to work with the industry to develop CBRS solutions and further build out the 3.5 GHz ecosystem. For instance, the companies are participating in the Wireless Innovation Forum's efforts to develop and drive the adoption of standards around the unique aspects of operation in the CBRS band, which include providing an interface to the central spectrum coordination systems, actively protecting Federal operations, and managing the coexistence among those sharing the band. The companies are working towards LTE-based field trials in the second half of this year, and several will showcase CBRS-ready technologies at Mobile World Congress.

Company Support

"We are honored to partner with other wireless networking stalwarts in enabling carriers and enterprises to seamlessly and cost effectively alleviate spectrum management challenges and substantially improve the performance and capacity of wireless networks," said Sarosh Vesuna, senior vice president, corporate development and strategic alliances for Federated Wireless.

"Google is very pleased to be one of the companies driving this technology," said Milo Medin, vice president, access, Google. "CBRS will benefit all participants in the wireless ecosystem, but most particularly, the users of mobile devices."

"In-building cellular coverage and capacity is an increasingly important component of both enterprise and residential consumers. Intel is committed to work with wireless networking organizations to address spectrum management challenges, come up with solutions which cater to commercially viable coverage and capacity requirements for both carriers and consumers, and ultimately service the data demands that will be critical for 5G and beyond," said Asha Keddy, vice president, next generation and standards group, Intel Corporation.

"Over 75 percent of today's global mobile data traffic is generated indoors, and the majority of customer complaints come from those indoor users," said Chris Stark, head of North America business development for Nokia. "Our industry needs to address this by expanding the capacity of new coverage technologies so that we eliminate potential indoor bottlenecks as the capacity of macro networks continues to grow. Nokia is proud to join other industry leaders in bringing the next generation of coverage and capacity technology to the world."

"Accelerating the development and deployment of LTE-based solutions in 3.5 GHz bands is critical to meet the ever-growing demand for mobile data," said Ed Tiedemann, senior vice president, engineering, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., and head of standards and industry organizations. "We look forward to continuing our collaboration with this group of technology leaders and all other stakeholders to expand the 3.5 GHz ecosystem."

"We're thrilled to collaborate with other industry leaders to drive CBRS adoption. Working together, we will ensure CBRS dramatically expands the wireless footprint, especially within buildings where cellular and Wi-Fi technologies intersect," said Steve Martin, senior vice president and general manager of emerging technologies for Ruckus Wireless. "LTE CBRS services represent a cost-effective way for mobile operators to expand their footprint in-building, and this ultimately translates to better service for subscribers."
