Dogdays,

Interesting, and yes it should have been a simple operation, especially being open pit.

With a higher tungsten price I guess someone else will give it a go now.

One concern for me was the local residents complaining about the noise, not sure if they ever addressed that problem.

I am afraid this project was jinxed from the start. The plant troubles (bought in from China)shaker fromes breaking, bars bending etc, compounded by a low recovery rate and the low Tungsten price set the scene.Senior management proved to be unable to cope with the issues. The constant and seemingly never ending loan demands proved to much for the lenders and they have obviously decided that rather than plough more money in they will go for administration. We shareholders will be the losers in all this.

I was at a meeting with Mr Clarke last year in London, his address to the group was less than encouraging as he spoke very bitterly about the plants reliability.
This project should have been a winner.Open pit,new plant,Tungsten in short supply. It was ruined by plain incompetence.

G'day,

WLFE, it was my one and only emotional investment, EVER! Hope the talented guys can either, get the gilt out or get jobs elsewhere. Surprised me that Germans (govt woerker loan) not intervened? Debt maybe too hard to handle.

Moving on!

cheers
