Hi all, overcast here, can't Greece declare themselves bankrupt?
Harold did you mean beach? And what's this only two weeks left?

Ivan, the view was stunning.

Turnips - you mean swede. Get some seeds sent over and grow your own.

Our son and his finace are coming home from Vienna today for a few days so looking forward to that although the weather forecast militates against going to the bach.

Only a week of the old crock left now so Numpty Ccentral must be celebrating.

Hiya Pete. Yep, Life is good, thanks. Hope all is well with you too.

I would make my own, but I just cannot find turnips over here. The nearest I have found is radishes, which are the same family. Do you think you could use them instead of turnip? I've never heard of cooking them. I might give it a go one day, because yep, there's nothing like a paaaasty.

Harold. Yep, I love that restaurant (The San Isidro), but they don't seem to change the menu very often, so the food gets a bit boring. But what a view, eh?

Fut, the vision of Mrs Fut in rubber gloves and wellies should bring you a little tingle - even at your age.

Ivan, when I win the lottery I will pay you a visit and we can have dinner in that restaurant way up the mountain.

Harold. There are actually one or two English type pubs, and a few Irish ones too. They became popular a few years back, and seem to attract a particular type of client, usually yuppies/social climbers, and of course, anything English is highly regarded. Could be profitable.

my son is making some mead for a school project, and I think he has ideas about selling it, if its successful. But as a typical 15yr old, he'll probably drink most of it. Ha Ha. The Spanish is pretty bad, I have to admit, but as they say, "poco a poco".

Hi Fut. Yeah, I do look in very occasionally, and saw you had hurt your leg. My sympathy, and of course, hope it gets better quickly. The older we get, the longer it often takes, but hang in there, and it should improve slowly but surely.

Ivan, sounds like you are also learning Spanish. If that's the case then the lovely senoritas of your local will be giving you lots of warm and fuzzy feelings per se.

With the demise of the BBC, perhaps there is an opening for an English brewer to come over and start up there. I always enjoyed where you are.

Hi Harold. The figs came from the Ministry of Mines and Energy, but they were compiled from the records of the ANH (National Hydrocarbons Agency) who superceded Ecopetrol as keeper of the national records. So they are legit.

I have sent you by e-mail, (to your address, not "Woburn Oil & Gas's" address) the actual production records of all producing contract areas, from where I extracted the Crock's production.

You will notice that there was no production declared from July 2011 until March 2013. I think this was because from memory, we did shut down the wells whilst the Canadians were trying out the CHOPS system, separating it all when it came to the wellhead. But of course, I don't know what happened to the oil produced from that test. I think it was sold to market to pay for the cost of the testing, but it doesn't appear to be recorded. There are also no figures published for December 2010. I believe there was production, but the ANH don't seem to have published them for any company for that month, maybe an administration error?

When the production was again declared in March 2013, I think the Canadians were opening up Baul, which we were not party to, so possibly the March figure was nothing to do with us. And of course, I'm not certain of the date we actually sold our interest.

But you are absolutely right, in that the amount of the settlement seems extraordinarily high. On those production figures, bearing in mind our oil was heavy and not of the same value, even if we got $100 a barrel for it (at one stage oil was only $50-60 per bbl , then 30,000 barrels over that 5 year period would have brought us a maximum income of $3 million, and Moyes 3% would have only been $90,000 total. Now, we must assume that if the claim was that the figures were understated, then we must have paid them a considerable amount anyway, and so the understated part would have been a mere fraction of that figure. For example, if they were understated by say, 10%, then the underpayment should have been only $9,000 ???? Yet we paid them nearly half a million quid in settlement??? It seems very odd.

On the subject of the BBC, I don't know whether you got my last e-mail, but very sadly, it has been bought by AB Inbev, makers of cheap sh*t, so it looks like Monserrate Red et al, may go to the dogs as soon as they find a way to cheapen it, and extract maximum profit by sacrificing the quality. (Yo soy muy triste).

Aaaah, I nearly forgot, amazing how we get sidetracked, back on topic, ....... weather is great, as always. The thermometer in my pad has never ever fallen below 20C, so heating is something I don't have to worry about. An occasional gentle breeze is quite refreshing, never get the gales and stuff you guys have to suffer.

I am planning to buy a new motor very soon, and will be off to do the Pan American Highway, which runs the whole length of SA from the Panama Gap down to Tierra del Fuego, through the Amazonas, up the high Andes around Bolivia etc. But not all in one go. I hope to explore as much as I can, not just going hell for leather.

Enjoying Wimbledon, and have an abundance of fresh strawberries, so it almost feels like I'm back in the UK, but without all the problems.

Warm and fuzzy feelings to all (per se),

Ivan

Cliveas, cheers. I will take what free advice I can in the first instance. Have also received news from another shareholder whois also willing to chip in.

There is a definate whiff about this deal as the figures quoted by Ivan appear to be similar to what WBN would have received.

Been a frustrating day as the news is all about brilliant sunshine and heat whereas its rained all morning in Barnstaple. Still, I made some fresh pesto sauce with basil from the greenhouse which I am now enjoying with spaghetti.

G'Day Ivan, you are alive. Welcome back to the BB, per se.

Very interesting figures(did they come from Ecopetrol)which indicate that a payout to Moyes and Co could not be supported from this!! The revenue reported by Kappa will be in the company's consolidated accounts which are on the website.

Maybe our friend just paid Moyes and Co off to make the issue go away so that they could liquidate the company. Majority acting against the minority?

I will follow up.

Have a good evening at the BBC.

Wilbury, Harold's right it will get better in time, you look after yourself.

Harold, back to the beer then. What do we do about this voting, do we say nothing? I've had emails from two brokers that I hold Woburn in?

Wilbury, it takes time but it will get better. The worst is to come I'm afraid. Your lowest point will be after the funeral and you shut the door and are on your own for the first time. It will get better.

Gardening and brewing today - its my femine side. Multi-tasking.

Hi Harold, good point. So would a solicitor find out exactly what happened? It would be nice to put them in a corner for a change.
