15/5/2016 08:34 | Praipys: Slater just gone over 3% holding in QP. | mrx9000
12/5/2016 18:12 | This is true but the tji rns does say there will be a return of capital (or words to that effect. Its higher risk than the but higher return too... I have a bit of pol at 50%+ loss, I should probably look at it again, it might deserve additional investment. | rjmahan
09/5/2016 09:08 | Thanks, I think:) TJI's discount looks very good but the difference with TRE is that their investment policy states its liquidating assets for winding up. From the TJI RNS looks like they're trying to grow the business? POL is similar in that it has a massive discount, loads of cash and liquid assets and no real need or reason to hand cash back. Although there is activist arbs on the regster. Anyone less cautious than me would have done well to invest in TJI in September 2015 when you first posted about them here. Would have been a useful profit. | praipus
06/5/2016 09:52 | Hi Praipus you might be interested in TJI selling assets for more than NAV and trading at less than net cash - only a matter of time until cash is returned - see deepvalueinvestments for more posts - nano cap and no arbs invested... Thought I would return favour on TRE! | rjmahan
04/5/2016 16:05 | Slater Investments reducing NFC holding to 3.97% | praipus
04/5/2016 11:46 | Just bought into SGI - a Richard Griffiths holding... Looks to me like there may well be upside... hxxps://deepvalueinv | rjmahan
02/5/2016 12:47 | No I dont gear up much - and didnt this time still ways to play some things like this controlled risk bets with spreadbets.... I used IG as a plain stockbroker this time, commisions can be reasonable.. On occassion I spread bet to minimise tax. | rjmahan
01/5/2016 20:49 | "IG" sounds like you geared up. Could have been nasty if the payout had been less. You bought them you got the reward well done. Did you use spread bet or CFD? | praipus
01/5/2016 16:44 | IG and HL not paid me yet... Sold my shares now not sure if it was right thing to do. Thanks for the tip praipus... | rjmahan

25/3/2016 21:06 | Up 27% on Thurs - thanks for the tip - will be interesting to see where it trades at post rights. My guess would be 2-3p. | rjmahan
24/3/2016 09:32 | TRE followed by a few of the arbs handing back 5p NAV 10p | praipus
14/3/2016 13:20 | SGI, recent Richard Griffiths investment, fundraising (I'm down 50%+ here in only a few days chase with caution) | praipus
14/3/2016 12:38 | Thanks RJMahan. ------ LAKE a Slater Investments holding, directors presenting: " davidosh 14 Mar'16 - 00:47 - 447 of 447 0 0 Do not forget that Lakehouse are coming to do a presentation at the next Mello in Beckenham on Monday 21st March and I have just 22 places left...www.mellomeet " from LAKE thread | praipus
14/3/2016 00:19 | Hi Praipus - sometimes it shows non RNS notifiable BUT not always.... | rjmahan
11/3/2016 12:00 | Thanks rjmahan. Does Bloomberg access allow you to search holdings by institutional shareholder which are NOT RNS notifiable (ie below 3%) too? | praipus
11/3/2016 11:36 | Hi Praipus - I have Bloomberg access so I can display holdings for all listed by an Arb (on Bloomberg)... If you think this would be of use to you let me know and I can pull the data out... (I cant give you access but can do the work myself)... | rjmahan
11/3/2016 10:01 | ...mmm interesting, don't know what they are up to unless working with other holders? | shroder
10/3/2016 22:33 | Epistrophy, yep exactly that, hence messy. Shroder, ODDO Meriten "blocking action" don't recall seeing that before but sounds interesting. They are still at it, buying more INTQ. Take Over arbitrage or are they building for a white night? | praipus
10/3/2016 19:38 | Evening Praipus, is not still 180p, not aware of any increase? Any thoughts on ODDO Meriten Asset increasing at this level, block vote? ____________________ Praipus 9 Mar'16 - 12:49 - 2733 of 2737 0 0 INTQ takeover offer increased and recommended but once again ODDO Meriten Asset Management appearing on the register. | shroder
10/3/2016 09:47 | Lol...I never knew you cared :) AURR isn't quite as I thought the round trips so far show a loss of 11% but that will reduce with with the remaining returns of capital. My post was based on emotion rather than facts. The whole investment was approx 10% of the portfolio so the final loss is likely to be around 1%. Portfolio looks very messy:) arb chasing underwater stocks showing huge losses which have in fact returned in most cases more than originally invested. So cant complain, though the success makes it difficult not to chase things one should not. Arbs not reporting much at the moment though I suspect they will soon. Forays it to short ETF's and Options discussed on ETF and OPTS threads. | praipus
10/3/2016 00:03 | Sorry to hear of your loss Praipus.... What does your portfolio look like ? | rjmahan |
