04/11/2015 12:59 | Rights issue...I agree...very possible.. ..future share price rise or fall....we agree that 'have to wait to see ' ' the spread is paid by retail punters'....you've lost me there... | smithie6
04/11/2015 01:40 | Your logic would work if:- Northbridge does not go bust or Northbridge does not have a very dilutive rights issue. The price for this size deal is negotiated; the spread is paid by retail punters. | russman
03/11/2015 10:09 | Russman ....putting back some money at fraction of price you sold at....very human action/logic imho....if right or not we have to wait to see Western error...in hindsight....& that of funds etc..& the mkt....was not foreseeing the oil price fall....and its impact...and not selling more shares on the way down ( perhaps shows how stupid or asleep the mkt/professionals often are.....).. ...( could perhaps now be buying the whole of NBI if they had sold all shares heldby Western at 6 quid.....!!.....but everything is easy in hindsight... | smithie6
03/11/2015 10:03 | MMs need fixing.... Crossing sells with buys and charging 6% to do it, wrt 82p selling price.... 6% for holding some shares for few seconds !! Rigged mkt...the MMs are co-operating and fixing the mkt spreads at high % ...rather than compete ...imho..!! | smithie6
03/11/2015 00:28 | Do not understand the size of today's NBI purchase. Either DC is supporting the share price or he is betting Big. Bought 600k @ 70p Bought 25k @ 206.5 Sold 125k @ 4.55 Sold 200k @ 3.75 Totally confused, he must know the seller. I will wait and see. | russman
02/11/2015 21:57 | See my comment on the NBI page. On the surface, the seller seems to have been well treated. | coolen
02/11/2015 21:14 | WSE just in for 600,000 shares at 70p. Not convinced they should be catching a falling knife to be honest. Hope they have not made another poor call. I'm not going to buy NBI until the share price flattens and we get an update on covenants. That being said WSE should have a better view than most. | topvest
02/11/2015 06:39 | Yes, this year it is being hosted by Mr D C Marshall of WSE. 9.30 on 2nd Dec. The Award (presented to him by his son). "You do pick them Dad. What do you mean, it was your idea." Northbridge's current performance is making me cry. But they do provide great coffee & chocky bikkies. | russman
24/10/2015 21:16 | Does the City have an Annual Awards ceremony ? | coolen
24/10/2015 20:20 | Yes another well timed sale! | topvest
24/10/2015 18:24 | Are these the same investment experts who sold a big stake in Creston immediately before the big price rise ? | coolen
24/10/2015 07:22 | I clarify NBI. Its share price is currently at the bottom of a steep cliff. "But is he lucky?" asks Mr Bonaparte. | russman
19/10/2015 08:21 | Anyone attending the AGM this year? SWL is flying at the moment, shame about NBI. Their buy/sell timing appears to be worse than inept. | russman
05/10/2015 23:22 | Condolences to his family. Do we know what happened to his Hartim shareholding? | russman
03/10/2015 16:21 | Had a look at the Hartim statutory accounts. Didn't realise the MD unfortunately died suddenly in early 2014 which is mentioned in the accounts. At least they seem to have recovered and have stabilised things. £1.6m of debt at 31 December 2014 though. | topvest
01/10/2015 09:01 | Business as usual for the Marshalls. Still trotting out the same old flannel. They never had a cutting edge or timing, it is too late now. Mr Marshall still fails to deal with LFI/WSE's strategic priorities. | russman
30/9/2015 21:11 | Yes, they were out at 10am - not much of interest said. Not had time to read properly but looks disappointing on NBI and Hartim. Swallowfield bouncing back. Creston sold too low. Oh well, at least we get a 1.05p dividend. | topvest
30/9/2015 16:42 | ..so ..reported NAV at end of June was 75p...ref LFI results out today...I assume Western results are issued or in the wire.. | smithie6
22/8/2015 10:04 | ...indeed... (Bilby... One possible attraction...in the pros and cons...is its defensive nature...in some ways... Chinese cant do it.....since need local service staff in uk... ..of course..competition from similar UK companies | smithie6
20/8/2015 09:22 | Tried that, they wont budge. No one else seems bothered. | russman
19/8/2015 22:16 | ....'our solution'... I would hand out assets shares held to shareholders pro rata..we would get 72p/ share of assets if your calc. is correct. Keep any unlisted things like Hartim within Western. But no support so far from top 10 holders...and they hold >50%. votes. Whether to keep listing would depend on how long before Hartim could say back in to it....and whether worth it...or just give up Western listing since assets given out...and list Hartim as new direct listing...fairly cheap on isdx I think. X yrs later, if doing well, and annual costs justified... to AIM. | smithie6
16/8/2015 20:44 | It sounds terminal. I suggest you focus on our solution. | russman
16/8/2015 18:05 | Western...SWL... ..anyway..world seems to be ending...to be popular with one's peers nowadays youth of today seems to need to - wear flip flops - get up at 3pm - have no idea about anything - have no opinions about anything - not give a damn about anything or anyone, except maybe your drinking pals ...maybe Im getting old...er... | smithie6
16/8/2015 18:01 | ..so Russman has 72p as NAV....Anyone agree with that ? I havent checked for a while.....summertime and all that... | smithie6
09/8/2015 13:20 | Knowing those two, the mere thought of extracting value for "others" would have been a deterrent ! | coolen |
