ahkeen> Just call them up, they will ask you for your postcode & details and then confirm your account No. I also saw they took the dosh from my bank on Fri. After you get your account no. you can trade but you pay 1% if you open an internet account with them 3/5 days you can sell them thru for £9.95 and I believe they have special offer £4.95 a trade for first 30 days.

No probs with Hardgreaves Lansdown one of the offering brokers. They confirmed my global offer account, my shares 888 (lucky chinese gambling nos!) and said I can trade from now if I wish. However, I will hold this one, with World Cup going on etc and at a decent yield too. Could see plenty of early upside in the shares from here

Finally got through to Comdirect. The guy I spoke to appeared to be a first day trainee! When I asked when the shares would be creditted to my nominee account, he said he thought it would be Thursday as that was the official start to trading in WMH. When I asked why not today in line with several other on-line trading organisations, he had no answer. When I asked what all the ordinary trades I could see going through ADVFN were, he said they must be unofficial trading and this couldn't be supported by Comdirect. The stabalisation funds had better do their job as I will be pretty hacked off with Comdirect if I miss out on several K of possible profit because they (unlike some others) do not seem to support trading prior to 20th!

Just phoned `selftrade` got my £2k allocation. It will show on my online a/c later today. I can deal on the phone for now. But there`s no hurry. Also 42 mil` shares are being used for `stabilisation` purposes so they won`t go out of control either way.

I'm also with comdirect and haven't yet seen the shares creditted to my account. Can anyone confirm when they may appear as I can't get through to comdirect and will I be able to trade them straight away. There is nothing more frustrating than being completely unable to respond to a possible profit making opportunity! (i may choose not to trade yet, but it would be nice to get to choose)!

Well they are moving up nicely 240 level at present. As I said before why the rush to sell, plenty of WC action and other sporting events to come this summer and all at a 4% yield, as someone mentioned before, better than on bank deposit.

The EPIC code is indeed WMH, the shares have arrived on My Share Centre account however, I am unable to trade with them. Any ideas?

Is WHX definitely the right EPIC - the only one I can find is WMH, which seems to have the rightish price on it? Also, the shares haven't yet turned up on my comdirect account, so the chances of trading them today seem slim...

All, the only reason I'll be looking to sell is to try and lock in some profits, for a change! I intend to keep some as a long term hold, and was looking at selling 75%, retaining 25%, and, with a bit of luck, IF I can achieve a profit of, say, 10%, that would reduce substantially the cost (and therefore risk) of the ones that I retain. Just doen a quick calculation - IF ( big "IF" I know) the price rises by 10%, and I sell 75%, I will have the rest at a cost of £1.57! At least that gives a fair safety margin, even in the current market. I personally think that bookies are reasonably recession proof, and for that reason was looking to hold onto some, as a long term hold. IF the market has another week like last week, regretably, we MAY be facing a loss situation on WMH, but let's look on the bright side! Andy.

Floating at 225 as announced. There was healthy oversubscription from institutions but I am told that there was very little from private investors. Rumour is that there is full allocation up to £50k. Seems like a good one to me and no reason to sell too fast-they are having a good world cup as the favourites crash out and a 4% yield is more than bank interest anyway.

Nothing showing on my monitor list yet although it`s telling me I`ve added it. No data yet is probably the reason for that.

ADVFN have just put the epic up for william hill. If you want to add them to your monitor its WMH. Sorry for the confusion but I was led to believe it was WMX
