ntv: i think wentworth will get paid if not tanzania will have real problems in the financial mkts plus tanzanian gov gets 20% back as it is part of the consortium no news on current rates and time of increases has caused share price to slip back we have to presume they are still running at 55 per day with other oil firms not wanting to explore then tanzania will need these assets to give it the power it needs. obviously lots of room to increase production when needed now the main capital works have been done. a pay down of debt before expansion will be good

juuunx2: Must be some good news coming soon after all the gas is flowing. Anyone got thoughts on where this share price will be this time next year?

888icb: Wentworth have raised an additional £5 million at no discount to the current share price. A sound and positive move. They are confident gas will flow into the pipeline in Q3.

loobrush: The savage share price rout in the oil and gas sector looks like it may have got to the point where there are some real bargains to be had, and Africa-focused oil and gas exploration junior Wentworth looks like a prime example. With gas production about to ramp up, and with expected cash flows underpinned by a fixed-price, long-term contract with the Tanzanian state, the shares appear INCREDIBLY CHEAP on a forecast 37 per cent free cash-flow yield. What's more, there's significant further upside potential from Wentworth's well-funded and promising exploration programme.

loobrush: From IC a few months back- Working with partner Anadarko Petroleum, it’s hoped that Tembo alone could contain 255m barrels of oil-equivalent. Analysts at broker Investec Securities estimate that could be worth as much as 58p a share, although the exploration well that’s being drilled there has suffered equipment-related delays. Adding in the value ascribed by Investec to Kifaru and the broker reckons the two projects combined could be worth 80p a share – more than twice as much as the company’s current share price. However, with the broker also attributing 15 per cent and 14 per cent chances of success at Tembo and Kifaru, respectively, then it’s clearly a risky punt. At the time price was 45p making a target if succesfull of £1.25 which is 3 1/2 times today's price. News early dec? Fingers crossed. Not many following this share.

steeplejack: Late news is bad news holding sway here and not many prepared to argue with that. There's something inherently disappointing about this company and its share price performance as we hit a new low.Just seems to be "OFF NET" somehow.

loobrush: Tipped again today in IC in SUPER SMALL CAPS TO BUY . Wentworth Resources (WRL) Not quite in the same category of downside risk as Rose – but with plenty of upside potential nonetheless – is oil and gas play Wentworth Resources (WRL). It’s focused on potentially risky onshore programmes in Mozambique: the Tembo and Kifaru projects. Working with partner Anadarko Petroleum, it’s hoped that Tembo alone could contain 255m barrels of oil-equivalent. Analysts at broker Investec Securities estimate that could be worth as much as 58p a share, although the exploration well that’s being drilled there has suffered equipment-related delays. Adding in the value ascribed by Investec to Kifaru and the broker reckons the two projects combined could be worth 80p a share – almost twice as much as the company’s current 45p share price. However, with the broker also attributing 15 per cent and 14 per cent chances of success at Tembo and Kifaru, respectively, then it’s clearly a risky punt. Still, if the two projects do fail to deliver, then – unlike with the likes of Rose – all is not lost. That’s because it also has a gas project in Tanzania that’s due to come online once the Dar es Salaam cross-country pipeline – currently being built by the Chinese – is completed (by the first quarter of 2015). Moreover, earlier this month the group wrapped up negotiations with the Tanzanian government for a gas sales agreement

liquid millionaire: AEX [and WRL] SHORE CAP BROKER NOTE ON AEX JUST OUT.... AMINEX+ (AEX, 2.2p, House Stock) – Publication of note. We have published a note (attached) on Aminex entitled “Momentum building in Tanzania”. The company recently announced a further upgrade to mean in-place resources for the Ntorya gas discovery at Ruvuma in Tanzania, which now stand at 2.3tcf following recent seismic interpretation work. We remain highly encouraged by progress at Ruvuma, which covers the onshore extension of a prolific basin and will have access to market via a new pipeline to Dar es Salaam, on track for completion by year-end. In addition, commercial production from Kiliwani North is scheduled to come onstream in early 2015 and the recent signature of a gas sales agreement (GSA) by Maurel et Prom and its partner Wentworth Resources sets an excellent precedent for Aminex, in our opinion. Along with a planned farm-out at Ruvuma, we believe that signature of Aminex’s own GSA has the potential to provide a powerful share price catalyst.... Etc, etc....

loobrush: IC says The most exciting prospect has to be Tembo, a 259 million barrel, potentially oil-bearing target onshore Mozambique that will be drilled in the second quarter of 2014 by Anadarko (NYSE: APC), a leading explorer in Africa. Wentworth holds an 11.6 per cent interest in the block, and broker Investec estimates an oil discovery there could be worth up to 86p a share fully unrisked - or roughly double the company's current share price. That would be a share price of well over £ 1.30 Come on be lucky.
