Eisler

Me too, opened a tradefair bet yesterday, I still keep asking why.

Is it the MM or what

Got this in my sights too, trading it mainly on the chart as the pattern is quite predictable, 490-550 as you say Eisler good for a modest 10% return if you time it right certainly beats interest rates the banks are offering on cash so worth a punt!

I have been in and out 6 or 7 times over the last 12 months taking a margin of 30-50p between the 490-550 trading range. The key is not being greedy, taking profits and being patient.

All invested, dump your stock, bring it back down to 4.8/9 :)

Does anyone else follow other stocks like this?

I have made that mistake before!
Sold half my holding at £5.71p and hope to buy back when it falls to around £4.80p again.

Should have sold at 577p, once again I paid attention to the speculative rubbish spouted on this board. From now on I carve my own path!

Backlog has reduced from 300+ through 215 now down to 160

This makes forward projections a little more difficult!

Tailed off again tommorrow will be key or we can just expect another swing downwards. All hot air and speculation so far.

it is entirely feasible that there is an Indian link to wellstream, since the Indians are able to trade directly with the Iranian oil companies... someone posted here before xmas suggesting that WSM were involved in dealings with iran, and i suspect that wont be popular in certain circles...

In 2009, ONGC discovered a massive oil field, with up to 1 billion barrel reserves of heavy crude, in the Persian Gulf off the coast of Iran. Additionally, ONGC also signed a deal with Iran to invest US$3 billion to extract 1.1 billion cubic feet of natural gas from the Farzad B gas field.

From market reports for yesterday:

Telegraph:

"Wellstream International, an oilfield services provider, rose 52½ to 577½p on renewed speculation it is being targeted by potential bidders".

FT:

"Wellstream jumped 9.9 per cent to 585½p amid a retread of takeover theories. Dealers also noted a trade press report that the group had been chosen for a pilot project at the Tupi oil field, potentially Brazil's largest".

This level of movement on no info is either takeover or the rise before a major sell off tommorrow. If anyone has news please feel free to enlighten us.
