I have just had a word with Mazars again.

Maggie, who is in charge of the deal, advises me that they are looking to update the market in, about, 2 weeks time.

No mention of £1 was made in either conversation.

I'm not being awkward, but I'd stress that I found it well worth 30 minutes of my time to call them and get a feel for what is happening. This is a small business, you'll probably get through first time as I did.

Thank you mongrels1, but think you missed my point. The directors have made an indicative offer of around 65p for the company already. Did they say to you that they were going to offer £1 or were they simply happy because they knew there was no one else in the frame to compete with their indicative offer? If they did admit to thinking of an offer of around £1, then I have just seen a pig outside my window in the sky!

I would suggest you call them and take your own conclusions from the conversations. I posted their phone numbers about three weeks ago after previos calls.

Grahamburn, depends what you defines as on the cheap. I think any price under about a quid is cheap. However, as a holder at an average of circa £0.70, I am much happier since my conversations than I was before. Clearly they were quite guarded in their replies but frankly they were much more open on each and every occasion that I have spoken to them than I would have expected.

Corientes, in my opinion (and I stress it is just an opinion)if it turns out to be sales blurb only then they are not much more than bare faced liars.

Mongrels1

Confidence in them getting the business on the cheap - or confidence in them running/buying the business for the benefit of shareholders other than themselves?

If you believe sales blurb. No disrespect intended, but PR is just that.

Because the insiders know that the deal is off perhaps? Hope not!

Why the drop if bid lined up at 65p?

Knowsleyman/Mongrels,
Thanks for the updates.

Thanks KM. Your conversation sounds very similar to mine.

I also confirmed that I would not be a winning seller at 0.65

So, now we have a buyer at 66p. What does he/she know that the rest of us don't. The rise in the share price over recent days and the size of the purchases, by Waterline standards, stinks of some inside knowledge as far as I am concerned.
Last week I spoke to the chairman and Mazars and was told that nothing was due to be announced just yet.

Is this still the same crooked company it was in July? I am surprised anyone is interested...

Thank you both.

The increased activity in the last couple of days suggests that perhaps this information is being acted upon by somebody {or bodies}.

I originally read {mis-read} the RNS of July 19th to imply that the Woburn group would not consider counter offers.

Anyway, things are looking less boring now.

I confirm what you said. He referred to a couple of offers.

AGM announcement yesterday.
Only the usual all resolutions past stuff and reference to web site.
Agenda for AGM contained nothing unusual and no reference to buy out proposal ??

I have the AGM as having been held on 26 September. Presumably nothing of note happened.

A trickle of buys today pushing the price back up a bit. Are we going to get an announcement soon about the offer?

Spoke to Mazars again today. Nothing is happening at the moment because Steven Steel is on holiday until 17th September. It was suggested that a further announcement will be made at the AGM.

Spoke to Mazars again today. I am advised that no announcement will be made this week and it is likely that nothing further will be announced until into September. Negotiations are still going on with the parties concerned.

Returned from holiday and logged on to discover NOTHING!!!!! I am thinking that the advisers are just about as trustworthy as our directors, or am I just an old cynic?
Will Monday bring us good news?, somehow I doubt it, but, of course, I could be wrong.
