Well, I get little pleasure out of seeing my Nov 2010 predictions come wholly true, apart from my intuition and analysing being right for once.

I said it was entirely run for the banks, who were also given equity rights at 5 pence, and no way should it be worth more. We're there.

WNER equity: RIP. A victim of executive hubris and reckless layer-upon-layer leveraging. As a consolation, at least the Warners will have lost virtually all too.

Have to hand it to WNER for its subtly and ability to remain under the radar!

After starting the week at 15p it has managed a near 100% rise

All achieved with no mention in the financial press and very few comments on ADVFN

Perhaps the weekend press will latch onto the rise????

thanks PB for clarifying this point - a 22% rise from 18p is not to be sniffed at!

Also takes the share price past the breakout zone - upwards and onwards WNER!

This is because there have been no 'AT' trades (or 'UT') for a few days and as WNER is a 'SET3' stock only these trades will set the price.

The last 'AT' trade was 13,000 @ 0.18 on the 2nd Feb. There have only been 'O' trades since then.

Don't worry, the next 'AT' trade will move the price.

The real price is 21.0p/23.0p and that's the range it's trading in.

WNER has had a good week :-).

Sadly for all holders WNER continues on its downward path, for reasons I've explained before. There's only apparently some hope value here left.

Morning Mack010101,

Don't get me wrong, I didn't mean to imply they would blacklist WNER. Property management is key, but financial management and risk assessment is important as well and they haven't done so well there. All I was saying is that I am unsure where WNER would sit on the list of potential managers. I suspect they are not near the top or the bottom. However, until they start winning mandates it is all guesswork and it would be unwise to buy on the assumption that they will be able to grow or even maintain their AuM.

With £1.5bn of assets under management would it not be better to pass all the 100% owned property and fund investments to the Banks in return for elimination of all the debts. Banks are in 'haircut' mode at the moment so no reason why this couldn't be done leaving the asset management business with cash and no debt

Looking at the last set of accounts unleveraged business would have c.£5.6m cash on deposit(10p per share) and asset management contracts which produce profits of c.£2.8m pa(EPS 5p)

Say 8x EPS multiple on 2012 earnings = 40p plus 10p cash per share = 50p SP

Add in the prospect of growing the profitable asset management business and they could present a good EPS growth story to the markets and eventually trade off a EPS multiple of 10-15xs

Perhaps ironically its the ownership of property which is holding the WNER share price back?

A good day for the commercial property sector but not even a tick up for WNER!

Has the markets forgotten WNER have £1.5bn under management?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The FTSE 100 advanced 0.3% in early afternoon, boosted by a surge in the property sector.

Capital Shopping Centres Group (LON:CSCG) led the way with a 10% advance after announcing that the Simon Property Group is mulling a cash offer for the company at an unspecific premium to net asset value (NAV).

The letter received from Simon Group did not contain any offer or indicative offer nor provide any certainty that an offer would be made.

"Shareholders should be aware that there is no certainty that an offer will be made nor as to the terms upon which any such offer may be made," cautioned CSC.

The news boosted other property stocks with Hammerson (LON:HMSO), British Land (LON:BLND) and Land Securities (LON:LAND) rising 6%, 3% and 2% respectively.

WNER is just being run for the benefit of its creditors, chiefly the banks. You can only see value in WNER at 20 pence if if you believe that there is a big bull-run in CP round the corner. The value currently is steadily eroded by high borrowing charges.

Remember that its lenders have been given equity at 5 pence per share. They could even short-sell now and cash-in in advance up to their maximum allocated equity, reducing their risk in debt-exposure to WNER. Who knows for sure, but I think likely the shareprice/its NAV is going to end-up somewhere close. Only then I think it could be a 'punt' . Nevertheless, good luck to all the long-suffering holders. Till March I used to be one too.
