Posted at 11/4/2024 10:16 by arthur_lame_stocks I still think WCW would be far better off as part of a larger Investment manager and there's been an awful lot of consolidation in the sector.I bought a few more today and this is one of my largest investments. I take a lot of comfort from the fact that the market cap is underpinned entirely by cash and they pay a dividend. At the moment it looks as close to a one way bet upwards as you're ever going to find. |

But the FCA consumer duty is doing what these firms wont, and so WCW have had to say in the results 'we plan for downward movement in this revenue stream' This company appears to be run for the employees, not the shareholders. |

Posted at 17/11/2023 11:06 by davydoo Depends what AUM number you are using.£3.1bn AUM but another £1.9bn under administration But the £3.1bn at 2% is still £62m, over 5x the current valuation, plus the current valuation is already met by cash held. However, the profit margins are tiny. Good financial advisers sell for 3-4x their annual revenue, which on a 1% fee model, is 3-4x their AUM, but they are often making 25% profit margins. WCW would need to make c.£8m a year to do the same. |
Posted at 17/11/2023 09:08 by gbenson1 I've only got very basic data over here in Tenerife, but a sale price based on 2% of AUM gives a market cap of around £14m therefore a share price of 30-32p ish which is extremely disappointing. Please correct me if I'm wrong.. |
Posted at 25/9/2023 09:53 by gbenson1 I'm probably too heavily invested here, but there's certainly value at this price, it's retraced from 30p since the end of last year even though profits are up as well as increased interest rates. Hoping the market returns this to fair value.. |

Posted at 04/5/2023 17:40 by small cap value investor1 I was the purchaser of the larger trades todayCash on hand exceeds market capitalisation Earnings improving on both cash on hand and margin on Clients cash A geographical spread of branches and a Stock market quotation A decent amount of assets under management Can't see much down side It was a bit mean to reduce the interim dividend a commitment to a more generous dividend policy would underpin the share price We just have to live long enough to see the share price reflect all the potential |
