Results in 3 weeks? bid news perhaps?

Look at all those buys by Bailey. Look at how the share price just takes any selling on the chin (where a buyer soaks them up imo.

Bailey is regared as a shrewd investor (have a read on Citywire) so it's interesting that the best place he can find for his onw money is WCW shares imo.

Not long to go.

LOL!

MM's bang it down 15p to scare a few out then have to move back up again swift? Hit by a buy that has yet to show perhaps?

Certainly resiliant!

Daily WCW check - two moderate sells but no move on the price or the mm's, the buyer is soaking these up again.

Hi garth - I'm not surprised to see the price creeping up on no trades - mm's want to tease out stock imo.

25K collected by someone yesterday.

Well talking to myself but worth a look imo.

In the past months all sells were absorbed, the stock rose on buys but never fell on sells as a buyer soaked them. I reckon there's a bid coming - the buyer stopped at 260p and let them come off as punters sold in the weak market but I reckon he's buying again now.

My guess is there will be a bid at around 295p a share, about 10% above that high myself.

Started creeping up again by stealth - will be nice to hear bid news at the results - is this why Bailey has been so keen to buy at levels above this? Reckon he might have got a whisper in the trade.

On my own here now it seems - but Stephen Bailey is with me and he knows best I'd say :-)

Bouncing.

I reckon we'll see a trading statement here soon - over 6 weeks since the last director buy and year end up.

yes I do or I wouldn't be holding still. I reckon there's a good chance of a trading statement at the end of the month.

Have you seen the sells lately?

Net 7.5K on 23rd Feb
Net 24K on 2th Feb
Net 3.7K on 25th Feb
Net 13K today.

Yet on Level II not one mm has moved down, still KBC and SCAP on the offer. Someone has soaked up 50K in the last week, that's not a mug punter imo.

I think once the results for this year and the earning enhancement of the recent acquisition become apparent then there's a lot more going for this one.

Director buys look a give away:

SEAN KIN WAI LAM increased his holding by 40% in December.

Stephen has increased his holding by 140% spending near £100K up to a price of 239.5p - he must expect to make a decent premium over that 239.5p, at today's price he hasn't even covered the dealing and stamp charge on that last purchase.

Those long flats on the chart too - suggests someone has been soaking up any sells for months so it could be a bid for WCW imo - Bailey and WCW might not have been approached but he may well have had a whisper from a colleague I reckon.

I'm keeping mine for more yet.

thanks CR. I welcome your updates on WCW. do you think there is much upside considering recent performance when the results arrive.

Looks like John Sunderland has given away 16K shares to his sprogs - left him with just 879,000 - it's a tough life isn't it! :-)

Net 32K sells the past 3 days yet the mm's are not moving down at all - reckon they are filling a buy still.

Holding three broker stocks now WCW, DAN and WHI - must be the hot sector for both takeovers and business activity imo. Corporate activity and floats are rising, trading volumes rising and from what WCW say things got very strong from Sep on.

5k sold after the opening mark down of 1p and the mm's have taken them freely - still a decent buyer aroud, or a few perhaps

I'm running it to the results. Year end is March 31 and expect we could see a trading statement around that time.

I reckon with the organic growth and acquisition the earnings in the year ahead could be much higher than this year and this year looks like being good.

Then there's the chane our old mate Bailey has had a whisper that they are a bid target - this is a highly consolidative industry.

Director buying:

11Feb, Stephen Bailey buys 10.5K @ 172p - ups stake to 45,450

11Feb, Stephen Bailey buys 22.5K @ 194p - ups stake to 67,950

15Feb, Stephen Bailey buys 10K @ 216p, ups stake to 77,950

22Feb, Stephen Bailey buys 6K @ 239.5p, ups stake to 83,950

Bailey has now increased his stake by 140% in a week.

No smoke without fire imo - either monster results coming or a bid target imo.
