I remember explaining that generous contribution was paid for by an equally generous pay rise he had prior to the placing. Carry on throwing money away on this if you like, not too long ago I was arguing with people who said it was worth over 8p. I've got more chance of getting my leg over Kylie Minogue lol.
"This game" as you put it is about probabilities rather than possibilities. To use my example, Kylie is a possibility but I won't hold my breath.

CEO Rick Smiths last 12.8m buy is now worth £26k not £64k that he paid a few months back' interesting to see if he puts his hand in his pocket again.

I think the big problem they have is the 0.25p nominal share price.
Since they probably can't issues new shares below this, why would anyone in their right mind want to participate in a rescue placing that leaves £3.5m of value with the existing holders. I just don't see it.

If they don't get the placing away, what are their options?

Typo a £1000 could, or not! make you £10000 here over time.
Ive spent more than that on the lottery with the odd tenner back.

Of course you have to be prepared to lose from time to time but to be successful at investment you should aim to ensure that the odds are in your favour.

I can't see the point of investing here. You'd be mad to punt anything meaningful so why bother? There must be nicer ways to get your testosterone fix!

Typo...you could be correct, but you should not be in this game if you cant afford to lose a few quid.
Lifes a gamble right.

What are they going to do with the dosh that will reverse their fortunes? They have one product, a product people don't need and don't want and they have ridiculous overheads.

How much are they raising? How long will it last?

Better to gamble on the lottery IMO.

We now know the reason for the early dip so is it worth the gamble?

VPhase PLC

05 June 2013

Press release 5 June 2013

VPhase plc

("VPhase" or the "Company" or the "Group")

Statement re. Share Price Movement

VPhase notes the movement today in its share price and announces that it is in the advanced stages of raising equity capital through a non pre-emptive placing of ordinary shares of 0.25p in the Company for cash (the "Placing").

Whilst the Company fully expects the Placing to be successful, in the event that it is not successful, the Company is unlikely to have sufficient funds for its present purposes and the directors will have to consider all options, which may result in little or no value for shareholders of the Company.

Further to the Company's preliminary results announcement dated 25 March 2013, and in line with recent reports in the press, there has been a noticeable slowdown in the demand for energy efficiency products as customers come to terms with the Green Deal and how it impacts them. This has had a short term impact on the Group's performance in the first five months and full year expectations are currently being reviewed.

I think this company will go down the pan mate. Get a book from the library on reading company accounts. Eg turnover £1.38M loss £1.66M. No skin off my nose, the only way you'll make any money IMHO is to con someone into paying more than you did.

Down 22% on £800 worth of sales, a bit over the top that.
Only 5% of these shares are held by Joe Public.

This hot air balloon is going to need some help soon. Getting close to nominal share price of .25p which will prevent any more shares being issued. They will need to re-jig the share price by consolidating and increasing the gap between nominal and actual share price before they can issue more shares. They won't IMHO be able to carry on much longer without action.
