Analysts at Berenberg raised their target price on ventilation products supplier Volution Group from 315.0p to 345.0p on Friday, stating the company's "strategically attractive" acquisition of ClimaRad.

Berenberg said Volution's acquisition of ClimaRad, a manufacturer of decentralised heat recovery ventilation in the Netherlands, was not only immediately earnings-enhancing but also added to the firm's product portfolio, providing further cross-selling opportunities.

The German bank highlighted that the business was "well placed" to benefit from structural and regulatory tailwinds like the European Green Deal renovation wave, given that its products aid the decarbonisation of heating and cooling.

"Combined with supportive regulation, an increasing focus on indoor air quality and a strong balance sheet, Volution remains an ESG gem," said the analysts, who maintained their 'buy' rating on the stock.

'Volution backers walking on air'

....Analysts were most impressed by the news that profit margins have widened to 20 per cent, eight months ahead of schedule. Peel Hunt, the City stockbroker, said that it now expected this year’s profits to come in at £45 million — 20 per cent above its previous forecast.

Recent strong trading confirmed in the latest RNS:-

"...Following on from the positive trends seen in August and September and referred to in our preliminary results announcement of 8th October, we have seen a continuation of strong organic growth and margin performance through October and November. A more comprehensive trading update will be provided on the day of our Annual General Meeting on 11th December 2020."

'Volution shares set for inflection, says Liberum'

Liberum predicts an inflection point for ventilation group Volution (FAN) as share price drags evaporate.

Analyst Charlie Campbell retained his ‘buy’ recommendation and increased the target price from 250p to 290p on the stock, which gained 3%, or 6p, to 204.5p.

‘We have long admired Volution’s strong fundamentals, but were surprised that this did not translate into better historical share performance,’ he said.

‘We now see an inflection point with several forces that depressed the shares now extinguished and new positives emerging.’

Campbell predicted margins will rise, organic growth will ‘step up’, and ‘environmental drivers to gain momentum’.
