Well done if you caught this move. really strong move since highlighting on the 11th August. Didn't catch it all.

Similar one to ALFA, lovely spike since highlighting. Try and do a roundup of the calls made soon.

Highlight PAY as the standout one that was wrong. Did move well initially from around £6 to £6.60 with a large stakebuilder at work too but a left field smack in the face usually comes about now and again.

Questor: a ‘simple, profitable business’ that could get snapped up if the shares fail to move

Questor share tip: Volution’s fans are not especially hi-tech but they are protected from commodity pricing and the firm has scope to expand

IC View

Volution has reduced its cost base in the face of continued uncertainties, including those linked to the EU trade negotiations.

Trading has improved significantly in the current financial year and the group has been able to maintain the integrity of its supply chain. The “structural drivers in the form of more stringent air quality regulation” are also still in place, underlining the value proposition.

Buy.

Berenberg:

Volution was described as “highly aligned with the ESG-related trends” as its ventilation equipment improves air quality in buildings. Around 59% of its sales are derived from low-carbon products.

“We believe this percentage will increase in the coming years as regulation tightens, such as via the Green Deal, driving demand for energy-efficient ventilation products,” analysts noted.

“Alongside Volution’s leading premium products benefiting from tightening regulatory trends towards energy efficiency and a focus on cleaner air, Volution places operational excellence high on the agenda.”

Taken a few here as a short term play.

Fall from highs around £1.80 looks over done on the back of that recent statement. Price did hit £2 prior to that.

Price has strong support at that £1.60 mark with buyers in size there so any move through there would result in a failed trade.

Lumpy, illiquid one - know your shares.

Let's see if it can push on.

Creeping up nicely on the quiet, quite happy with prospects going forward especially considering the importance of good ventilation with Covid

Great that volution are helping out with their knowledge of ventilation in these extreme times. There expertise will be well received and hopefully achieve a reduced number of severe symtoms and death

Improving prospectsThe stock in question is supplier of ventilation products, Volution (LSE: FAN). Its interim results showed a rise in revenue of 16.3% to £114.8m, while adjusted operating profit moved 10.7% higher to £20.2m. Encouragingly, the four acquisitions that were completed in the previous year are integrating and performing well. Those acquisitions have enhanced the company's business model, while also providing additional diversification.

Is anyone able to clarify the total debt/borrowings for FAN from their 31 jan 2017 interim results?

The net debt is listed as £40.6 million but the total liabilities is £111.2 million in the balance sheet further down in report. So minus cash and cash equivalents of £13.7 million puts net debt at £97.5 million? Am I right here?
