13/6/2014 09:59 | The draw back to monthly sales figures are that any temp problems will show immediately with an unbalanced affect on the share price . Still very much under the radar this Co, not without Risk. Could easily exceed expectations though. | pj 1
13/6/2014 09:42 | Very quiet at the mo' - we seem to be drifting sideways here and ASX. If this keeps up too long we are at risk of drifting out of our lovely up channel. I guess we are waiting for the monthly update (figures for May) which tends to arrive last week of the next month. I expect this to confirm that we are increasing sales. May see some buying in anticipation next week, which will keep the chart tidy. If you squint at the chart you could almost imagine a regular trading pattern emerging for month end rises. I have to say that I have not been terribly successful doing that though ! Whilst we stay 'in channel' buy and hold has to be the strategy for VMT I reckon. There is always the chance of additional news snippets as well as the monthly figures. | huttgl
06/6/2014 14:53 | Yes thanks and agree battery looks good. I don't know if VMT have a removable battery option but it was an issue for me given that many Chinese live in tower block accommodation where recharging probably not available in the parking area. Removal and recharge in your flat (provided not too heavy) appears like a good option. Just for interest the TT Zero bikes (Isle of Man) have just broken the lap record again with an average lap speed of 117mph on the 37 mile road course including mountain climb with a top speed of over 150mph. Now only 15mph short of the average lap time for the superbikes. The technology is improving every year and will obviously cascade down to the mass production end of the market eventually. | sailing john
06/6/2014 14:20 | Thanks Matt Interesting The Market is massive though, more than enough room. The battery looks impressive though, not sure how that stacks up against VMT presently, | pj 1
06/6/2014 12:03 | no position here at present but came across this recently | mattjos
29/5/2014 01:42 | Interesting article re wireless charging for ev's and good to see Milton Keynes ahead of China in the race for world dominance :) | sandoval
28/5/2014 12:42 | Early this morning on the Asia news channel they were saying China has a target of 5 million electric cars by 2020 to include 400000 charging stations and I just read that BMW are working with Chinese co's to install 50 charging units in Shanghai as a pilot program. VMT certainly in the right place to grow. | sandoval
27/5/2014 19:57 | China keen to improve air quality/reduce vehicle emissions. Should benefit alternative providers such as VMT. | rp19
23/5/2014 12:55 | Quite an increase in sales during April to other Chinese distributors. 662 unit sales during April 2014 (1,015 sales in the preceding three months combined). | rp19
23/5/2014 08:14 | I'll hide behind transferring them into my ISA ! :-// | pj 1
23/5/2014 07:54 | Should see a bounce upwards his morning following reassurance that trading is in line with expectations after the shenanigans earlier this week. Off the lower trend line as well. 'The Company's growing profits compared to the prior year is a clear demonstration of the increasing traction Vmoto brands are achieving in key markets in China and Asia generally. The Company is becoming increasingly recognised for its premium electric scooter products and is growing strongly and delivering on its strategy off the back of this reputation' | lanzarote666
23/5/2014 02:03 | Nice little update including company sec acting in place of SF until August | sandoval
22/5/2014 13:35 | When you look at what some directors take & the failures they are responible for, Farrell was indeed on a pitance. He's likely to get a much better salary without the onus of directorship of a Plc. & probably felt he was on "Chinese" pay! So he's made a move & gone on to summat new? So would I. G'day & G'luck, M8! SP might be settling on a new "post ATH" level; this support , particularly present in Jan & Feb. It's up to the ying-tongs now..... | napoleon 14th
22/5/2014 13:31 | I wouldn't be surprised if they tagged a small update onto the end of their statement concerning the director appointment. | rp19
22/5/2014 13:21 | To buy or not to buy, that is the question ! No-one seems too upset about SF leaving. It has not been clear (to me anyway) whether his specific talents have contributed more than many another person may have. The guys moving us forward are on the ground in China. We will have a temporary 'field dressing' Aussie on board until a permanent appointment is made, so that gets us over the ASX rule even if the temp person doesn't bring much else to the party in the interim. We know SF left after a difference of opinion but don't know what about. The ASX suspension will be lifted tonight. I can't see any reason for a stampede out of VMT. Will there be a mini stampede into VMT ? Will we get an update for April anytime now ? A good April update would re-assure any wobbly holders. | huttgl
22/5/2014 13:19 | Stab in the Dark but it looks as if Farrell last year earnt circa £28k (aus$50,737), one of the lowest paid directors. Not a massive amount? Maybe a financial fall out. I assume as NED he would have had no options? Unsure of that, Accounts not strongest point (not sure I have any !) | pj 1
22/5/2014 09:13 | Shame it doesn't say why they fell out or what over, but confirms my total over reaction yesterday Decisions decisions p.s. Do not rely on Samsung S3 to download attachments!!! :-0 (although the page 1 of 1 was extremely misleading) | pj 1
22/5/2014 09:08 | Good find Sandoval - also explains why no suspension in the UK. | the accountant
22/5/2014 01:19 | Answer to the immediate question of why the suspension of shares (and sudden departure of SF):- | sandoval
21/5/2014 15:15 | I never bought these on a "simon farrell trading as vmoto" basis and I don't see the potential growth being stalled by his departure but not for widows & ophans | sandoval
21/5/2014 14:16 | There is obviously no connection between Volta Mining and Vmoto but the share price of Volta Mining rose in the days following the re-commencement of trading (since slipped to just below the pre halt level). Within their announcement, Volta gave information as to the new director appointment (suitability for role and salary/benefits package etc) and a quick update on an exploration project. I wonder if Vmoto will follow a similar structure? Obviously any update can be good or bad. So still a little nervy about this. On the 21 May there were 3 other trading halts issues on ASX in addition to Vmoto's, 3 also on 20 May. | rp19
21/5/2014 13:48 | Does seem standard practice. Below paste is from April /2014. Volta Mining (ASX: VTM) has requested a trading halt in its shares, pending the release of an announcement regarding the appointment of a new director. The fact a halt has been called by Volta for a new director appointment is interesting, as it potentially hints at a "big name". | sandoval
21/5/2014 12:44 | I have held a few shares over the years which were listed on ASX and this release is pretty standard for there. Trading still on track so cannot see any real issues just market over-reaction. | the accountant
21/5/2014 12:04 | Yep, apols for confusion. Have downloaded it to PC in Adobe and the 2nd page has come up. Someone wanted my shares anyway!!! edit, still says page 1 of 1, and lack of detail in page 1 | pj 1
21/5/2014 12:01 | it says page 1 of 1 on the bottom right of the ASX Market release but just scroll down/press the down arrow and you'll get to the second page which is VMT's request for the halt. | rp19 |
