Well, it's later than expected in the last broker note I saw - they have had quite a few more disappointments in getting contracts up and running and getting people actually watching the videos online.

I wonder when profitability is now expected, with these delays?

Never?

Think they could bounce quite quickly. They seem to be building a sustainable long term business. They have put all the building blocks in place and is now a case of ramping up the business and getting the revenue through the door.

It's interesting that two market makers moved the price up at 11:02, but there are no trades to coincide with that movement. Maybe a delayed trade or someone enquiring with a big order?

Last year results were on Tuesday 17th October. Based on that, we could see the results this week. Tomorrow?

Closed a short here earlier, think this has now fallen enough. Now it seems to me VDS are getting things in place to become profitable by the end of the year.

Have had a great time opening shorting Lemming Investor (non) tips over the year.

Of course we know they don't do 'tips', but still, when they said about VDS and the share shot up to 63p very quickly whilst they all came onto this thread and ramped, I couldn't resist. They have been very quiet lately. Nothing for them to talk about?

Had a great time shorting SOLA after Lemming's 'non-tip' earlier in the year too. I think that was about 597p, or something. Closed that one at a nice round 250p.

This is all the information they gave:

"Live Stream for Pacquiao - Barrera II cancelled
GeneralAdd comments
We would like to inform you that neTVision is cancelling the Internet stream for the upcoming Pacquiao vs. Barrera rematch this October 7. This is due to contract conflicts on the international rights for the Internet webcast on the said event. We are much saddened with this occurrence, especially since we have all the good intentions of bringing the fight to Filipinos in the Middle East.

The neTVision service will continue, albeit the pull out of the boxing event. We will push through with the promotion for other content – movies, specials, TV shows, etc. – and this unfortunate incident does not affect, in any way, our mission to provide Filipinos all around the world instant access to local video items.

We apologize for any inconvenience this sudden retraction may have caused you."

can't see they need another placing with all the new contracts they've signed. I hope for some good news with the results.

The results were on 17 October last year and there was a placing @ 40p.
Is this history repeating itself - anyone with a view on the results?

Broadcasters 'missing online revenue opportunities', says Vividas research

September 27, 2007 – Vividas, a UK-based developer of video streaming solutions, has presented new research suggesting that broadcasters are missing online revenue opportunities, and are uncertain on how to monetise digital content.

Most of the broadcasters surveyed are looking into online advertising models, however only 7% consider Pay Per View (PPV) as a future revenue generator. 95% of broadcasters surveyed are 'confident' that online video content will take off, however only 43% currently offer online video, with a further one third planning to implement it by 2009.

Further research from Ovum has found that Video on Demand (VoD) usage will grow by nearly 100% year-on-year in Western Europe. By 2009 global VoD revenues are forecast to reach US$ 888.5mn, and the UK VoD market alone is anticipated to be worth US$ 189.57mn, contributing nearly 22% to the total. Apart from advertising, other business models suggested by the research to monetise digital content are subscription, VoD rental and download-to-own.

"Broadcasters would do well to aim PPV models at advertisers, rather than relying on obtrusive adverts or trying to convince the consumer to pay for one-time content," said Andrew Wilding, European CEO at Vividas. "By sponsoring online clips, advertisers will have the advantage of targeting individual users and the viewer gets to watch video online for free, which is a real win-win scenario."

The research also noted confidence among broadcasters that live sporting streams (40%) and repeat episodes of soaps online (30%) will continue to be the main revenue generators.

Well it looks as if they might well do the biggest live sports event over the Web in 2 weeks time. Could be a big one. When they did the last Pacman fight the payment gateway couldn't cope with the demand- nothing to do with VDS technology.

Am hoping for 50,000 plus views.

robhammers- it will probably have to be £2 takeout in my opinion. In one bid comes in several other will come in.

My guess takeover in 6 months time.

Some smart money coming in here now after massive unwarranted falls.

This business has first mover advantage and will rocket once they get critical mass or be taken over before they can reach full potential because of the technical know how.

Either way they look very undervalued.

Vividas Adds Three Clients to Online Film Roster

'Home,' Tony Robbins' 'Back from the Edge' and Eurocinema Bolster Vividas' 15 Plus Existing Film Titles

NEW YORK, Sept. 12, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Vividas, a leader in high-quality, online film distribution today announced the addition of three new clients to its pay-per-view film roster -- "Home," Tony Robbins' "Back from the Edge" and Eurocinema. The Vividas PPV technology provides filmmakers an easy to implement, high-quality presentation that, unlike other competing technologies, requires no player download and plays instantly in full-screen on virtually every computer. Vividas technology has powered a number of previous online film successes including "Trombone Player Wanted" and "The Secret," for which Vividas received a Webby Award nomination.

Launching this week, "Home" is a lyrical and thought provoking independent film that is a meditation on New York and the concept of home from the perspective of a recent Immigrant. Filmmakers Dawn Scibilia and Alan Cooke are distributing the award-winning documentary exclusively online at www.homethemovie.com using Vividas' PPV technology. The film features Mike Myers, Liam Neeson, Susan Sarandon, Rosie Perez, Pete Hamill, Fran Lebowitz, Frank and Malachy McCourt, Alfred Molina, Colin Quinn, David Amram, Armand DiMele, Elaine Kaufman and Drew Nieporent, who all speak candidly and passionately about the city and the concept of home along with recent Irish immigrant, Alan Cooke.

"As an independent filmmaker, we had to get through many gate keepers with 'Home,' the final one being distribution. Formerly, if a filmmaker couldn't get through that gate, the film went on the shelf," said Scibilia. "Because of the Internet and Vividas, that final gate is nonexistent and we can deliver 'Home' directly to our audience. The quality of the video is good and will only get better, it's an affordable solution and the fact that it plays automatically and in full-screen are all big pluses as well. When my nieces, 11 and 13 told me they watch more TV shows online than they do on the TV set, that convinced me to call Vividas."

Tony Robbins, acclaimed inspirational speaker and life coach has partnered with Vividas to distribute "Back from the Edge," a film about relationships in crisis and a journey one couple takes with Robbins to get their relationship back on track.

Launching with Vividas later this fall is Eurocinema, the first and only branded on-demand video service featuring award-winning, European theatrical films. The partnership brings contemporary films from Europe to the U.S. audience in a DVD-like, online viewing experience. Through the Eurocinema film portal, viewers will have access to a vast library of films, a unique blend of award-winning independent and artistic cinema, as well as documentaries in Vividas' high-quality, full-screen presentation at the touch of a button. The first Eurocinema films available will include: "Kira's Reason," "Merci Pour Le Chocolat," "Amantes" (Lovers) and "A Song of Innocence" (La Ravisseuse). www.eurocinema.com

"The partnerships with 'Home,' Tony Robbins 'Back from the Edge' and Eurocinema are great examples of the surge of content moving from traditional broadcast mediums to the online space," said Iain Molland, North American CEO at Vividas. "Internet users expect to find the content they want, where they want it - uninterrupted and at broadcast quality -- and we're excited to offer the content of these three fantastic producers to viewers in the Vividas platform."

Price was manipulated yesterday to allow buyers a keen entry point; shook out short termers right at the bottom of the chart.

DISGRACEFUL but full steam ahead now; I see no profit warning!
